A Very Important Question for Patrons Only
Added 2022-04-11 14:07:01 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I have a super important question for you guys here.
As you know I often do audios that specify biological F genitalia. I would like to explain that this is a stylistic choice.
Scripting and storytelling are creative endeavors. You will not see a corny romance like Twilight being flamed for having a female main character using she/her pronouns, catering to an audience that accepts those pronouns. But my audios are often under fire for doing she/her centric audios, with the occasional they/them.
This is stylistic. Not because I dislike non-binary people or try to invalidate them, but because I am personally attracted to feminine attributes, and so my audios instinctively adopt she/her pronouns, which are traditionally feminine.
Getting to the point; do you want me to stop using she/her pronouns and biologically female genitalia? This means no more use of the words: cl*t, p*ssy, c*nt, br*ast, bo*bs, t*ts. They will instead be completely replaced by h*le and chest only (can't think of anything else neutral enough to include).
Lastly, sorry if anything I said here offends you, I am only trying to explain this situation within my understanding of gender.
If you know more about gender and want to teach me what I said wrong in this post, if I did say something wrong, please feel free to comment or DM me so I can learn to be better.
Thank you!!
[[The result of this poll will be implemented for future audios starting May]]

Thank you so much for your advice and suggestion Anna <3 I really appreciate this, it's kinda nice to hear about that lesbian creator's story cause I don't feel alone in facing these types of problems anymore ;_; As of late I have stopped referring to listener's gender on Youtube and that has stopped much of the pressure I'm getting regarding gendered terms, but understanding what you guys want on Patreon is still extremely valuable to me, so thank you very much for your comprehensive answer Anna!

2022-05-03 05:56:04 +0000 UTCOk so here's where I'm coming from It isn't uncommon for ASMR creators to specifically use gendered terms for the sex they're attracted to. And I don't think it's a bad thing, being angry at a creator for making content for a certain audience just isn't worth it and it's probably very disheartening to the creators who are just doing their job/making art in a way that they feel happy/connected with. I don't think it's at all bad to WANT neutral content however, and I do feel like I may be a little biased as a cis person with a v*gina. I can understand that it is frustrating that there isn't as much male or gender neutral content as there is for fem listeners, even if I am part of the majority who doesn't have to worry about it. I feel however that it is not right to badger creators to make content they aren't comfortable with. Like a while back a lesbian creator I really love had to take a break because she was being downright harassed to make male catered content and obviously that wouldn't be something she's comfortable with. I think the answer is honestly just to make more gn/masc oriented content if you're really worried about it. If you don't like male genitalia don't sweat it, if you don't like making gn content that's fine too. Ultimately you're the creator and we can't control what you make up to a certain point. Your best work comes from where you feel comfortable and immersed and you really shouldn't push yourself too hard for us. If you really want to you can also help find other creators like you who do the sort of content the people badgering you want to see and occasionally plug them/do collaborations to help expose your fanbase to them or even help potentially smaller asmrtists Ultimately it's up to you and I've done enough anna-splaining here, I personally am just annoyed when creators start to get pressure like this because it isn't fair

2022-04-12 15:12:34 +0000 UTCAs a genderfluid person, I am more comfortable with the point of view of a female but regarding to this. Whatever audios you create always satisfy me no matter what gender. Being 3 months with you is like the best thing I ever did! It's just I would be pissed off if there's people who complain about it. And I will not let those people take away you from us. Oh wait... this sounds more immature than I thought in my head compared to the other's opinions. Anyways we love you no matter what, Hyacinth! βΊπ
