I suppose it could be any combination of 'he doesn't know their motives, so he's suspicious', 'the oracle has a hidden motive not revealed here', and 'genzo has a hidden motive beyond what he said'. for now, I think luke really lucked out on where he ended up, and the umarii lucked out that they didn't get iris or one of the fire-slinging ice cream brothers. really looking forward to how these side-plots evolve and how they eventually lead back together. and are we going to get a look into what's happening in the oft-mentioned fighting pit? I hope the aforementioned brothers are doing well there

2026-01-07 16:29:14 +0000 UTCImpending Genocide on Four Legs seems to be set up as a potential world ending threat if things shake out poorly for her pack, which make sense; she’s very angry and quick to direct that anger at other things beyond the red masks. I imagine that Iris could also end up going on quite the rampage as well since she is a Hellhound with a pet that could potentially reach god status. Is the Oracle a transmigrator herself? She mentions taking power from the dead and really really hates being called by her presumed name, which seems to match with Jessica.

Vengeful MC (who *still* doesn’t have a name, damn it) would pull a Fenrir and destroy the world on a rampage, only held back by the fact that her siblings would persuade her otherwise if treated well enough? Yeah, that checks out. At least it looks like Luke and Iris’s partners are the right sort to help that. Hopefully Ben and Jerry at least aren’t being completely abused… Thanks for the chapter!
