February Dev Notes!

Hey everyone!

Now that the game has some well-established encounters, I think it's time to tie them together to the main story. I mentioned it in last month's dev notes, and so I wanna have something out there for this build. 


The first steps will be to break down parts of the intro/early encounters and make them work with the main story. The idea would be that the things you do in the open world should work towards the main story within the Bastion and vice versa, instead of being sudden events that are completely separate from the encounters. My goal in reaching a successful Alpha is to have a complete main story using that structure.


I've also been working on cleaning up the mobile version. Stability on those builds has never been the best, so I want to keep them clean moving forward!


I'm also constantly working on having a steady flow of new art done for the game. A nice set has already been done for the Nyx Spawn encounter (by Winty). So expect them to show up next time you explore the dungeon. Working with artists consistently has been cool and motivating! There's always new stuff being worked on, so more art might make it into the finished build in the next few weeks. ❤️


So yeah, along with fixing the reported bugs, that's the plan for this month! I hope you enjoy it!
