RWBY: Customizable Summons Are Overpowered

-
Landing on the ground, he carefully exited the tight grasp of Kyrie and almost kissed the ground if it weren't for the fact that it was muddy and full of dirt.
This is why he hated airplanes. Damn turbulences were a nightmare. Mental note to create a Summon meant for transportation via flying—
Kyrie, who stood still, suddenly exploded into action, summoning her weapons of spear and shield into her hands as she quickly turned to face him before thrusting her spear forward.
The spear missed him by an inch as it gouged its way into the skull of something that attempted to bite his neck off. Stumbling forwards into Kyrie's zone of protection, he watched the Grimm convulse on the ground as his Valkyrie stood guard.
"... You could have warned me instead of almost piercing my head off."
Alex said as he massaged the area of his neck that was almost cleaved off by her spear as Kyrie explained without emotion.
"This Valkyrie couldn't waste any time. From my calculations, my Lord wouldn't have been able to react in time, so this Valkyrie acted and dealt with the target before harm came your way. If it is wished, this Valkyrie will offer her head as repercussions after getting you to safety."
"Don't be ridiculous. You're my Summon; I won't ask you to kill yourself because of something like this."
He said with a sigh. So Kyrie was this kind of person, huh? She'd rather die than upset him. Mental note to try and prevent herself from committing suicide or self-killing by giving better orders.
"Kyrie, this is an order. Just like earlier, do anything necessary to make sure all of us survive. That includes you and any trustworthy allies that we come across. I trust your judgment to make those decisions."
"I will obey, my Lord."
With that taken care of, he turned his attention back to the monster's corpse that had started to dissipate into the wind. Maybe it was due to his mechanic of sensing his Summons, but as the motes of black dots scattered across the winds, he could feel the dark energies radiating from the corpse.
... Mana? There's a possibility that they were made from darkened mana since they were creations from the Dark God of the two brother Gods. And Gods used magic, simple as that, unless media depicting the Gods were wrong.
Let's handle the elephant in the room now. Looking up in the sky, Alex could still see a large wall made of concrete even while in the forest.
"Kyrie, we're just a few minutes from the Kingdom, right?"
"Yes, my Lord. This Valkyrie had positioned us just before the main entrance, where a main trail nearby would lead to the gates."
Nodding, he looked down at his body to note that his attire was very simple. Just a white t-shirt and pants with a pair of sneakers. He had nothing else on his body.
And as for Kyrie... Well, she looked like a goddess in Norse Viking armor. Wearing a rather exposed leather-based leotard with metal armor plating on her vital areas (cough—breasts, stomach, shoulders, etc.—cough), a fur cloak that fluttered gracefully as she walked, steel-plated greaves that clanked softly on the muddy dirt, and bracers along her forearms and shins to offer more protection.
A simple-looking guy with a powerhouse of a beauty, that would cause some suspicion to people with a hint of common sense. This is a problem. How does one enter the Kingdom legally without raising suspicion and eyes with this unique circumstance?
How does he even solve this problem...? Oh, right. He was a Summoner that could create his own Summons.
He could simply create a Summon that could solve this problem. Genius.
... It's definitely not an excuse to create another cool Summon. Just saying, this is a serious situation, and modern problems require modern solutions. And who better to solve problems for him than a Great Mage filled with wisdom and smarts?
He was a Summoner after all; he could just let them handle his problems, simple.
Leaning on a tree, he went to work. And by work, he simply just pressed on the Search function and typed in "Great Mage" before hitting the Optimize button. There, hard work done. Now to manually change some settings to his liking.
Editing a few minutes later, he was done with the Great Mage. Now it's just giving her a name...
"What do you think, Kyrie? I was thinking Megumin from Konosuba, but it feels wrong to steal another character's name for my own even if they have the same concept."
"Since she's a Great Mage, this Valkyrie recommends Grema, stemming from the "Gre" from Great and "Ma" from Mage."
"... Genius name sense! Thank you, Kyrie."
"This Valkyrie lives to serve, my Lord."
Grema the Great Mage, it is. Damn, that was a good one; I didn't even think about using that. Heh, my Summons have great name sense; it looks like they take from their Summoner well.
Name: Grema
Race: High Elf
Level: 5
Tier: 5
Class: Great Mage
Attributes: STR (5) | SPD (6) | END (5) | PER (6) | MANA (15) | WIS (13) | LUK (10)
Attribute Priority: +MANA | +WIS | +SPD
Passive: Sage's Wisdom | Mana Absorption | Magic Resistance | Tier-Up Magic | Sonic Casting
Skills: Thaumaturgy [3] | Maximize Boost [2]
Party Cost: 15 (Tier X 2 + Level)
Uptime Cost: 100 Mana per hour (Tier X 20)
Summon Cost: 500 Mana (Tier X 100)
Looks good. But the Party Cost...
"Sorry for dismissing you so soon, Kyrie."
"Need not worry, my Lord. This Valkyrie is yours to command at any time."
"Thanks, I'll see you once your cool down is over. Summon Kyrie, I Dismiss Thee."
Giving a slight bow, she started to glow before disappearing from existence, with the prompt appearing at the bottom left corner of his vision.
[Summon Dismissed!]
[Kyrie — 11H: 59M: 52S]
Every time you dismiss a Summon, there's a 12-hour cooldown on that specific Summon. It doesn't matter how weak or strong the Summon is; it's locked at 12 hours. At least that's what he gathered from reading the help page available for free.
Still though, he should really start to find out the method of leveling; having only one Summon available due to his current Party Points is quite annoying.
"Summon Grema, I Summon Thee."
He once again felt the drain of his Mana similar to when summoning Kyrie; this time he was prepared, though, so he wasn't as surprised as earlier.
Looking up to witness the creation of his second-ever Summon, he watched as the radiant glow slowly molded into the silhouette of a petite girl clad in witch’s garb, her pointed ears peeking out from beneath the forming figure.
As the light faded, she was revealed in full. Short brown hair cascading gently to her shoulders, framing a delicate, doll-like face with perfect proportions and striking violet eyes.
She wore a black gothic dress, layered beneath a flowing short purple short cloak that hovered magically just above her shoulders. A darker shade of violet fish net gloves trailed from her knuckles while black stockings traced the length of her legs to her elbow, ending in elegant high-heeled boots.
And of course, no mage would be complete without the finishing touch, an oversized jet-black hat that loosely fit atop her head.
Her body lowers itself, but she remains suspended a few feet above the ground, effortlessly sitting on a blood-red staff with intricate golden engravings, riding it like a witch’s broomstick. Tilting the witch hat up to view him with a push of her finger, Grema grinned as she gave a wink.
"Ya hallo, Master! I, the Great Mage, Grema, am here to save the day!"
... He had to hold back a groan at the cheerful look on her face. He instinctively knew that the elf in front of him was an extrovert, something that an introvert like him is weak to.
"I'm pretty sure that you know who I am, but I'm Alex, and I need help getting into the Kingdom without raising any suspicion."
Introducing himself, he laid the problem out as Grema hummed, her index finger tapping on her chin in thought before she gave an "OK" gesture, her face painting a grin.
"OK, Master, let me show you how a Great Mage handles this problem! Unlike that wingless brute you have, this Grema has the perfect solution!"
She exclaimed, puffing her chest out in a smug look before floating towards the path that led to the clearing of the forest between the large walls and the trees.
"Wait, you have a solution, but what is it?"
He ignored the jab to Kyrie as he followed alongside Grema, who explained vaguely.
"Hehehe, it's simple really! We're just going to walk straight in and talk to whoever's in charge of the immigration process! I've got it all in my head; this will be easy peasy!"
She giggled in excitement before speeding up slightly, exiting the forest and entering the clearing where the guards who manned the wall could see. Alex just stared at the floating elf before questioning himself.
"As if they’d just let us stroll in like that. I mean—who in their right mind would allow two random strangers to waltz into their city without any identification?"

"I can't believe they just let us in like that."
Walking through the large city before him, he muttered to himself in shock as he looked at the card in his hand. A temporary ID card with his face, name, and birthdate. Well, this world's birthdate, the year, was much different, but the day and month were the same.
Flipping it to see its content on the back, he sees the reasoning that he gave for his temporary visit.
[Examination for Huntsmen course in Beacon]
[Duration of 6 months before expiring]
Thaumaturgy was just that powerful. The ability to place the whole office with a light hypnosis without even moving an inch was amazing, especially when you consider how much Mana was used to place them into their previous state.
Turns out, he could sense the Mana from his Summons, that's how he instinctively knew their locations. Imagine Kyrie's Mana Pool like a filled tub after a rainy day...
Grema's was the equivalent of the Pacific Ocean. And it was growing by the second because of her other Passive, Mana Absorption, which automatically absorbs Mana in the air.
"Of course they would! Anything that I, the Great Mage, wish will always come true, you know?"
She said as she floated through the streets beside him, blatantly using her magic to levitate herself, yet no one batted an eye to it. In fact, they were doing the opposite as the passersby swooned at the cute girl who waved back with a smile.
To be honest, he could see the appeal; she was really cute. It's like the inner feeling where you'd want to protect something this cute and precious. And with the fact that he'd like to tug with her cheeks, they look like mochi.
"And the Beacon thing? I didn't really plan to join the RWBY cast and be dragged into this war."
"Come on, Master, it'd be fun!"
She gave him a cheeky grin, causing him to heave before pointing at himself.
"You do know that I'm just a regular human being, right?"
"Nope, you're not! You're a High Human, no?"
That made him pause for a second before asking.
"Wait, what is the difference between a High Human and a normal one?"
"In this world, High Humans were the original humans before the Gods had their spat and did the whole genocide shtick. Being a species that had magic as their everyday life, you're more in tune with the world's Mana, and you're much, much stronger physically. Even without any training and Aura, I'm pretty sure that you're about the same level as the first-year students in Beacon."
Huh. Food for thought.
"And besides, you have me around. Even if you die, I'll just revive you with better specs to get revenge on the ones that killed you. Actually, maybe I'll carpet bomb them before reviving you; either way goes."
Grema stated as she shrugged, her attention quickly shifting to the candy store they passed by while Alex was in deep thought...
She's right; he had customizable Summons. Overpowered customizable Summons, to boot. He can totally get into Beacon with just Kyrie and Grema. Plus, he could definitely create more Summons—
Hold on.
... What qualified as a Summon?
His mind started racing as he let his Summon drag him into the candy store for cookies, thinking of a possible way to change the "untrained" status of his to "well-trained" using the system to his advantage.
"That'll be 12.99, please."
The voice of the cashier snapped him out of it as his glance moved to the packaged cookies on the counter. Looking back at Grema, who waited for him to pay, he moved his head to whisper.
"We don't have money."
"Who said so? Take out the wallet from your pocket."
"Pocket?"
He clearly remembered that his body didn't have such a thing—Whose wallet is this?! Opening it, he noted the name and address of a dog Faunus' ID card before paying for the cookies.
What? He needed the money; think of this as a donation from a charitable person. Besides, the dude was poor as hell. No chargeable cards in sight with only 4 thick plastic notes of 10 Lien bills; he's doing the guy a favor.
Exiting the store, they both enjoyed their cookies in the park nearby as a lightbulb lit up in his head.
"Grema, can you Summons see the system interface?"
"Of course, we were practically born from the system."
"Alright, look at what I'm going to cook up and advise me on how I can improve it."
Opening the system, he started playing around with the system with Grema watching, floating just above his shoulder.
"Ahuh... Mhmm... Oh, so that's what you're doing; I can see the benefit... No, don't do that; use this instead—yep, that's better... Right... Eh? I guess so..."
In the meanwhile, another question popped up from his mind as he questioned it.
"Speaking about my Summons, where do you guys even go once I dismiss you?"
"We go to your soul, where else? It's quite comfy too, you know? We each get our own rooms and can customize them however we like. Oh, and we can watch everything you do with a screen that displays your vision."
"..."
His hand stopped for a moment before he continued with making another Summon, a silent tear dripping with manliness. Damn, so no more "alone time" for himself. Either he breaks or he holds. It's a lose-lose situation. This was going to test his resolve and determination to the limit.
"Ahem, theoretically speaking, is there a way to just stop... broadcasting when the day goes dark?"
"Nope! And that's with the knowledge from Sage's Wisdom!"
Sage's Wisdom is self-explanatory in the name. A sage in her head gives her wisdom. Similar to the Great Sage from TenSura, just more informative than active. If it says that it was impossible, then it was.
Ugh, no more privacy.
A few minutes later, he created the Summon that they both worked on and summoned it to reality.
"Summon Recon, I Summon Thee."
He didn't even feel the Mana drain from summoning his newest Summon, it was just that cheap. As for the light show, he told Grema to dim down the area to not raise any suspicion, so the people who walked by simply didn't care about the floating orb in the sky.
Eventually, the glow dissipated, revealing a small plane-like robot floating in the air with its propulsion system the size of his fist.
Name: Recon
Race: Mechanical Organism
Level: 1
Tier: 1
Class: Rogue
Attributes: STR (1) | SPD (4) | END (3) | PER (1) | MANA (1) | WIS (0) | LUK (10)
Attribute Priority: +SPD | +PER | +END
Passive: Mechanic-Shift
Skills: Reconnaissance (1)
Party Cost: 3 (Tier X 2 + Level)
Uptime Cost: 20 Mana per hour (Tier X 20)
Summon Cost: 100 Mana (Tier X 100)
It's a mech that is built for reconnaissance. With its small size and its Passive, which allows it to shift into a few modes of transport and its Skill, Reconnaissance, to take video and pictures with good quality, it was the perfect Summon that can be sustained forever.
It was useful, but the main function of creating this Summon was this...
With a mental order to withdraw the items that he added to the Summon, a light backpack appeared in his hands from out of nowhere. Opening it, he inspected its contents before nodding in satisfaction.
Equipment: Training Sword and Sheath
Material: Branches of the Yggdrasil
Tier: 5
Enchantments: Weapon Proficiency Growth (2) | STR/END/SPD Training Growth (2) | Durability Increase (1)
Unique Skill: Fairness in All
-
Equipment: Set of Clothing
Material: Royal Hell Silk
Tier: 3
Enchantments: STR/END/SPD/PER Training Growth (2) | Durability Increase (1)
Unique Skill: Auto Cleanse
"Perfect, it works! Hehehehehe..."
Alex started to chuckle sinisterly while rubbing his palms together, excited about his technical exploit with the system as Grema just watched with a deadpan look.
"You know, I can do the same enchantments as the system, right? You would still need Recon to be around when you want to use these."
"Well, it'd be a little unfair to the system if you can just do everything. Besides, there's literally no disadvantage to keeping Recon here. Super low cost, useful for scouting or getting information, and it's cute."
"Hey! I have the same advantages as this thing, you know? You can keep me in reality forever; I'm super-duper practical in every situation and adorably gorgeous!"
Grema flaunted to her Summoner as she flipped her hair, trying to emphasize the last sentence of her words.
Her reply, though, was a simple shrug as his attention was still on the ash-white sword in his hand, admiring the intricate design on the training blade.
"Eh, that's besides the point. I have a sword and sheath that boosts my training growth; it's time for my training arc to begin... By the way, how do I level up again?"
