RWBY: Customizable Summons Are So Overpowered

"...Oh dear."
He mutters out loud as he looks at the forest that's surrounding him.
It's been a minute since he woke up in this random place, and already he could feel a migraine popping up in his head as his eyes glanced down to read the floating box in front of him.
[Beginner's Guide to Summon Summons!]
[Please tap to continue!]
This... This must be the fabled isekai situations that most novels these days are about. Sure, he was an avid reader of novels, waiting patiently for the novels that he liked in NovelUpdates to pop a notification for a new chapter, but he was more towards the regression genre instead of the typical isekai OP MCs.
Thinking about it, he couldn't say that his memory was the greatest, but surely he could remember what happened prior to awakening in this situation, so he tried to recall what happened.
... And yeah, his memories are botched. Zilch, nada, the memories of a month prior to this incident were gone like the dust to the wind. That was rather worrisome.
His eyes dart to the greenery around him. It looked weird? He wasn't a botanist, so he wasn't sure that this tree in front of him was similar to the one on Earth, but the appearance of this fruit was uncanny.
It for real looked like a mango and apple did the deed together and had a baby.
"What a headache."
He had to massage his temple to push down the migraine from growing in pain before deciding to just deal with it, his attention shifting back to the panel that's in his vision.
Raising his arm, he reached out to tap the screen as instructed and was surprised that the hologram actually felt physical.
[Summon Summons! is a Game System where the Host is allowed to create any Summon they desire!]
[The way to make a Summon is simple! Just use the Summon Customization Menu to create whatever you want!]
[Drag and drop, input and output! It's that simple!]
[Though there are some restrictions like party and uptime costs, anything you imagine can come true!]
[For now, you're allowed Summons that total up to 20 Party Points with a Mana Pool of 5,000 units!]
[Tap to go wild and create your fantasies!]
Huh, anything? There must be more than that; systems are usually not this kind.
Tapping on the screen, he was instantly bombarded with the Summon Customization Menu, where almost a thousand options were available to be changed, while a 3D render of his body displayed at the side.
Looking at the number of options, he made the decision to sit down on the dirt as he tried navigating this menu to get a sense of what to do. But with how many things can be changed... This was going to take a while.

OK, he had a handle on this menu... Kind of.
It was more like a homebrew character sheet from D&D, now that he thought about it. You have the essentials for every Summon:
Name — Name of the Summon
Race — Race of the Summon, may include certain stat boosts based on the Race
Level — Level of the Summon, important when designating raw Attributes and levels of Skills
Tier — Tier of the Summon, important when designating number of Skills
Class — Class of the Summon, important when designating Attribute Priority and Skills
Attributes — Stat Attributes of the Summon (STR | SPD | END | PER | MANA | WIS | LUK), every Level grants 10 Attributes that are randomly allocated
Attribute Priority — Priority of Stat Attributes when Leveling Up, 2 points will be allocated to the priority the moment a Level Up occurs
Passive — Passive Abilities of the Summon, does not consume Mana and does not have a cooldown
Skills — Skills of the Summon, consumes Mana and has a cooldown
After that, you can change the appearance of the Summon like in modern character customizations, and boy, were there a lot to choose from.
There were more miscellaneous options that the menu provided, like Wearable Equipment and Tools, that's another menu for the customization of the weapons and whatnot. There's even an Import function to import any existing character from any media in his world and a Random function to create a random Summon.
He decided to just keep it simple and hit the Optimize function. This makes it so that it'll create Summons that will suit him as a person perfectly. And boy, was this function fun to play with, since all the Summons that the system optimized were hot women.
All of them, appearance-wise, ticked his women list, which made him a happy guy. So many choices too; this thing really knows him in and out.
In the end, he reluctantly stopped playing around with the Optimize function and settled with the appearance of the Summon and played around with the essentials a little.
Name: Kyrie
Race: Valkyrie
Level: 5
Tier: 5
Class: Paladin
Attributes: STR (10) | SPD (10) | END (7) | PER (7) | MANA (5) | WIS (5) | LUK (10)
Attribute Priority: +STR | +SPD | +END
Passive: Wingless Drive | Shield Mastery | Spear Mastery | Rapid Casting | Honed Instincts
Skills: Holy Magic [1] | White Magic [1] | Power Thrust [1] | Shield Bash [1] | Mana Burst [1]
The italic fonts Passive and Skill are specifically made for both the Paladin Class and Valkyrie Race; it's something that he couldn't remove.
For the rest of the options, he'll let the system optimize it. Once he was satisfied with the Summon, he went on to the next step.
The restrictions.
It might look complicated, but it was easy to understand.
Every Summon had something called Points, which are points that tally up to the total Party Point that he could bring out into the world.
Currently, Kyrie the Valkyrie (he didn't say he was great at naming things) has a Party Cost of 15 (10 (Tier X 2) + 5 (Level)) with an Uptime Cost of 100 (Tier X 20) Mana per hour and an Initial Summon Cost of 500 units.
Since he has a total of 20 Party Points, he could technically still slot in a Summon with 5 or fewer Points, and with a Mana Pool of 5,000 units, he could sustain her for a long, long while.
Speaking about his own stats, his looked like this.
Summoner: Alex
Race: High Human
Level: 1
HP: 1,000 (10 per hour)
MP: 5,000 (50 per hour)
Party Points: 0 / 20
Very short, but at least it gave him some oversight in case something happens. Honestly, the most important thing to look at in this short status page was his Health Pool and Mana Pool, the former looking rather low compared to the latter.
Once all that was done, he hit the [Create] button...
[Congratulations on creating your first Summon!]
[Bring it out by saying the exact words below:]
["Summon (Name of Summon), I Summon Thee!"]
[Try it out yourself!]
Looking at the rather anti-climactic screen, he tested the waters as he said out loud.
"Uh... Summon Kyrie, I Summon Thee?"
In an instant, he felt something draining from somewhere as he felt his knees buckle at the sudden loss of energy. A sharp exhale exited his mouth as if something knocked the wind out of his stomach, thanking the past him for sitting down earlier.
All of a sudden, he felt a warm glow manifesting just a few feet from him. He looked up to see a figure in gold slowly form and mold into a humanoid shape. Eventually, a beautiful woman came into reality as she gently glided down onto the earth.
Beautiful might not be the best word to describe the woman. Glistening silver blond hair tied in a braid that reached her shoulder blades, a face seemingly sculpted by the gods for how unnaturally perfect she looked, and her body was honed for battle, lean and defined muscles at the right places that coiled beneath her armor, ready to explode into action.
... Sometimes, his genius at creating characters frightens even him.
Landing on the ground with her boots clanking gently, she gave him a brief look before dropping down to one knee and bowing, her left arm wielding a shield stabbed onto the ground while she supported herself with the spear in her right arm.
"My lord, this Valkyrie has answered your call. My spear will crush and destroy all your foes, and my shield will protect you from any harm. What are your orders?"
Glancing at the Valkyrie bowing in my control, he decided to stand up and raised his hand out in a handshake gesture.
"Right now, nothing. I just wanted to see my own creation. I'm Alex; nice to meet you, Kyrie."
Looking up from her bow, the spear in her hand disappeared before she reached out and grabbed his arm, giving it a firm grip.
"This Valkyrie will obey any command, my lord. Just point me in the direction, and I will handle the rest."
"Very serious personality, don't you? Alright then, can you please fly up high to scout for any signs of civilization?"
Alex asked, looking at the sky. Hopefully he could get to some forms of civilization soon; the sky was starting to darken. The Valkyrie in front of him nodded before a pair of ethereal wings suddenly manifested from her back.
"Order confirmed. This Valkyrie will scout ahead and return with good news."
This must be her passive, Wingless Drive. Fluttering her ethereal, angel-like wings, she crouched slightly before jumping into the air, her wings flapping heavy gusts of wind that threatened to push him off the ground.
A single leap sent her countless feet above the ground, and with another flap of her wings, she entered the sky glowing like a fairy floating in dusk—
Kyrie started to glow a hue of white, similar to the color of her ethereal wings, before she suddenly disappeared, leaving behind a loud boom and a trail of white lights that streaked across the sky like an aurora.
"... What a summon. As expected from my good sense in creation, I have much potential."

Approximately 10 minutes after Kyrie ascended into the sky, she eventually came back to my side in a blink of an eye. I didn't react to it, simply because an ability that I've gained is that I can sense my Summon's presence when they are near me. The distance was not tested yet, but I think it's more than a mile from my position.
Landing on the ground, she bowed on one knee again as she gave her report.
"My lord, this Valkyrie has found that we are currently in the center of the planet, situated around the four major populated areas of this world after doing some reconnaissance. However, there are smaller established settlements that are spread out across the world."
I hummed as I processed the information. Four major populated areas that centered this world? That sounds rather familiar. I took a shot in the dark and asked a question.
"Are there black, gooey-like creatures shaped like animals that roam around the settlements?"
"Yes, my Lord. This Valkyrie had seen them while scouting for the designated objectives. They walk around randomly with no pattern, though they mostly move in packs. This Valkyrie had also noticed a continent filled with creatures that were in the tens of millions."
As expected, there are Grimm walking around this world. That means that we're in RWBY. Was it fine to say that RWBY wasn't that bad of a world to be transmigrated into? The power scaling in the future seasons is mild in comparison to the other shonen media, and it's established that the world wasn't that hard to live in if you lived in a Kingdom... until shit hit the fan when Cinder cooked up a meal to remember with the Fall of Beacon.
"Alright, I've gotten a good picture of where we're at. Where's the nearest settlement at? Once we're there, we can slowly plan and head to the nearest Kingdom, one of the major populated areas that you've uncovered."
"If this Valkyrie is allowed to give a counterpoint, my Lord. With this Valkyrie's Wingless Drive passive ability, my Lord can easily reach the nearest Kingdom that's a few hundred miles away in less than an hour."
... I've got to admit, calling herself in a third-person perspective is really cute. Coughing in a fist to snap myself out of it, I nodded.
"Alright then, if you would so kindly, Kyrie."
"Of course, my Lord. This Valkyrie will obey."
In a swoop, she moved and picked me up all of a sudden. I definitely did not squeak in surprise, mind you, as a flash of white shone from Kyrie, her Wingless Drive activating before she soared into the sky.
... This time, I did scream, but it should be justifiable. I was instantly sent into the air after all. If it weren't for the firm grip that Kyrie had on me, I think I'd fall from her hands with how fast we were going.

Then please make sure they have purple hair, thanks :D

2025-02-05 01:36:04 +0000 UTCIf I'm going to be honest, I'm not really planning to add named characters from fiction into this world. But he may add Summons that have the same traits as them (Since most fiction characters have the same niche personality and attitude, etc.), so eventually there'll be a shy and polite Summon that Yanderes for the MC.
