(Beep... Beep... Beep...)
A periodic beep was the only sound that was resonating in an abandoned laboratory, the sound coming from a large metal tube with a large screen bolted on the front with a countdown timing down.
If one would look around the place, they would pinpoint that its owner had left panicked with the amount of papers on the ground, dirty coffee stains that splattered around, and a shattered mug with a symbol of a red ribbon.
The digital timer continued to drop every second, painfully slow until it finally hit the last seconds of its countdown.
Five... Four... Three... Two... One...
(BEEEEEP!)
The tube suddenly shifts in place, expanding before ice cold air exits from the tube with a hiss, the tube lifting its front panel before sliding to the right, revealing an unconscious body with black clothing hidden inside.
A few seconds passed with no signs of movement, not even a breath when suddenly the body's eyes opened. One by one, the body's motor functions started to fire as the person started coughing harshly, spitting out transparent liquid from his lungs and keeled to the ground.
Once the coughing stopped, the now conscious body looked around before his eyes saw the red ribbon logo on the shattered part of the mug.

"... Fuck."
Questionable first word by a technical first born, but cut him some slack. He just got hit by a truck that's speeding close to 90 on a residential street in one moment, and the next moment, he was here with all of Son Gohan's memories up to Cell's defeat.
Yeah. Son Gohan's memories. You know, the character from Dragon Ball Z that was the original Potential Man? Him. It was splitting his head open, two sets of memories trying to co-exist in a singular brain, the human brain could only remember so much before it starts using used neurons for multiple memories, which can make it harder to remember events.
Well, unless you had the brain of a human-Saiyan hybrid that is.
It took a while, he definitely did not scream, but eventually his head stopped hurting and he could finally get up from this cold tile floor.
This was so weird, having two sets of memories. They are fighting for dominance to decide who would be the main set that makes a human function, but since he was half Saiyan they are ripping each other apart to merging the other half that lost into a seamless one set with the dominant set as the main driver.
OK, calm down. He was still him, he still remembers his life as good old Johnathan. Or was he Son Gohan with Jonathan's memories? No, definitely the former. Ugh, what a headache, he needs a Sensu Bean for this sharp pain.
Getting up to his feet, he looked at the coffee stains and decided to not walk on the dirty tiles as he channeled his Ki from within to float in the air — WOAH, HE'S FLYING!
His mouth morphs into a hearty grin as he started to fly around the laboratory, it was large enough to enjoy it, dodging the mechanical equipment left and right while increasing his speed.
He did stop, however, once he saw a computer at the end of the laboratory where a bunch of documents were. Hoping to fish out information about himself and the state that he was in, he flew to the computer and dropped to the ground to boot the computer up.
It miraculously turned on! With no password too! Nice, looks like Gero didn't think anyone would hack into this computer. With his nonchalant about security and whatnot, it was no wonder Android 17 and 18 were able to kill the dude.
Seriously, what kind of idiot would make physical buttons of their self-destruct function when they were faster than you?
And woah, were there a whole load of folders in this baby. More than 60 terabytes worth of data, hot damn Gero had a lot of stuff in here, especially in video format. Scientists love documenting their experiments, huh?
Scrolling through the enormous library of videos with weird titles like "LS-134 THR" and "LZ-812 EXP", John or Gohan, he really needs something else to call by, found something that isn't formatted as a video but a typed out document instead.
"Project Hybrid?"
That was ominous. Clicking on it with a mouse, he read through the introduction before groaning.
"Oh, shit."
He was a clone of Son Gohan!
From what Gero explained, he noticed that Gohan, throughout the shenanigans that happened on Earth, had maintained a high level of prowess that's comparable to Earth's strongest humans at the time during his year training with the Demon King, Piccolo.
He saw the hidden potential of the child and decided to grab one of the blood samples that he found in the aftermath of the battle against the Saiyans, something that urged Gero to hasten his studies in biology to defeat his enemy, Son Goku, by creating the perfect being to counter him.
That... Didn't explain the memories that he had though, even if he was a clone. In his head, he could recall going into space to find the Namekian Dragon Balls and fighting for his life, but Gero doesn't know this!
Scrolling through the document, he didn't find a single mention of cloning memories too, so where in the hell? Thinking about it for a moment longer, he shrugged before ripping out the computer cords that connected it to the power socket. He'll think about this later.
The computer was turned off for too long, with it warning that the time system and calendar was incorrect due to the duration of neglect. But seeing as his body was much larger than what a kid would look like, he estimates to be in his teenager years, Gohan should have killed Cell already. At least, should have.
God, he hoped that Cell was dead already. It would be much easier since...
Huh.
He can't remember what comes next.
Woah. That was super wrong.
John was a die-hard fan, he even watched the latest series after Akira Toriyama died, bless his soul.
It was peak too, Dragon Ball... Dragon Ball...
"... SHIT."
He knows that something was coming, but what exactly? Fuck, fuck, fuck! Recall it! How powerful was this next foe going to be compared to Cell? Oh, and the Dragon Balls can't see into the future too! That's from Gohan's memories, he asked Dende when the child Namekian recreated the Dragon Balls. It was some kind of rule that's implanted since the start of the Namekians.
Oh, god, he was so screwed. He didn't know who or what was coming, but his heart, his very soul was gnawing at him, screaming to him that whatever was coming would make Cell look like a teddy bear plushie in terms of power level scaling!
Cell, who had about 170 million at the start! Cell, who achieved Perfect and went up to a whopping 650 million!
He's at least... 50 right now, which isn't much on the grand scheme of things, but huh. He was pretty strong in human standards, and this wasn't even close to his current full power.
Shaking his head, he calmed himself down before using his Ki to float into the air. He had to get out of here and go to Bulma, she'll know what to do with him.
Placing the computer down near his body onto the ground, Gohan — No, he was John, took a deep breath before crouching slightly into a horse stance, his posture hunched with both arms raised to his side.
And then he starts to power up.
"Haaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
In an instant, a translucent aura to the naked eye engulfs his body as the air around him started to be displaced, rising up to lift his bangs and ruffle his clothes. Objects on the ground started to lift off from the ground due to the immense energy leaking out from his body.
His cry intensified as his body goes rigid, tensing as he pulled the Ki within him out into the world, the limiters that his body instinctively set upon awakening slowly releasing its grip on his full power. Feeling powerful enough, he stopped powering up, the large flaming aura of white diminishing to a small glow around his body.
The floating objects suddenly dropped to the ground without the energy supporting their flight, as he breathes in deeply, relaxing his body and muscles.
"This should be enough."
He mutters as he clenched his fist, gritting his teeth to hold back the urge to groan at the amount of power his body had. 1.2 thousand in terms of power level should be enough to do what he was about to do. His eyes darted around the laboratory, with a higher power level he could "see" other Ki signatures around him.
There were Ki signatures on top of him and the way that some of the signatures were positioned at... That meant that he was in a mountain. That made sense that Gero would hide his lab from the outside world.
Looking up at the ceiling, he changed his stance from the previous horse stance into a forward stance, his arms thrusted out with both ends of his palms touching before he pulls them back to the side of his hips.
Slowly, motes of blue energy generated in between his hands as he chanted the move that his father taught him during the three years of training for the Androids in his heart.
'Ka... Me...'
The concentration of blue energy amplified, neon blue illuminating the laboratory through the openings of his fingers as he could feel the cluster of Ki begging to be released.
'Ha... Me...'
Shifting his back foot slightly, he used a moment to let the blue ball of Ki in his hands magnify in heat and intensity before thrusting his arms to the sky, screaming aloud with HIS VERY SOUL!
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
A deafening boom erupts as the ball of Ki escapes his hands, firing towards the ceiling.
The heat generated from the beam was so hot that it superheated the metal that the ceiling was made off, melting it before the beam even touched the ceiling as it continued on its path drilling through the dirt and stone in its way.
In a matter of seconds, the Kamehameha carved through the mountain that the lab was situated in. As the beam in his hands started to dissipate from the lack of "fuel" powering it, Johnathan couldn't help but feel giddy at the successful Ki Beam Attack that he just performed.
He also felt super drained, but it's due to the lack of experience that this body had. Releasing so much Ki as a newborn was straining to his body.
With the large tunnel that led to bright daylight, he powered down to a normal amount that a human would have averagely before launching out of the lab.
It took him a while to lock onto a familiar Ki signature due west. Channeling his Ki around him, he blasts off at high speeds to the location where Bulma's Ki signature was.
