Emerald Sustrai POV
"Today's a slow day."
She remarks, leaning over the counter with her hands supporting her head as Rin wipes a wet mug dry with a cloth. Her boss simply hummed in agreement as he looked in the direction she was facing.
There was no one here at all in the café, which was really weird since it was lunchtime at the moment. Usually there would be more than five customers at a time eating curry with coffee, but no one was here. Hell, even the regulars that always show up during this time were not here.
"Any idea why no one's here at all?"
"A couple."
Rin answered as he placed the clean mug neatly on a rack before wiping his hands dry.
"Sometimes, it's just the timing of things, a customer's financial issues, or maybe even an urge to try out other foods. But I do agree that this is rather unusual since the girls aren't here today. Maybe I should give them a call..."
Her eye twitched slightly at Rin's last sentence. Of course, he just randomly brings up other girls when she's around. Tsk, those bitches really are corrupting her Rin. She met him first; for Gods' sake, she called dibs!
Growling at the thought of those bitches sinking their teeth into Rin, she grabs her cold Americano and downs it in one go, the grip on the glass so tight that it would break the glass anytime.
"Oh, that makes sense."
Rin sounded as he looked at his Scroll. Curious, Emerald went behind her boss and looked over his shoulder.

(12 January, 11:26 p.m.)
Jun_Rin: Afternoon, Scarlet, can I ask about something?
Jun_Rin: Is there anything important going on? The café is very empty right now
Scarlet: Oh, it's because of the Vytal Festival
Scarlet: Usually everyone purchases new apparel or accessories for the event, so they would most probably eat in the mall
Scarlet: I'm out with my team to prepare our equipment for the combat portion of the festival; we'll head over soon!
Jun_Rin: I see, thanks for answering the question
Scarlet: No problem!

Tsk, she was so jealous of this red-headed bitch.
Speaking of bitches...
"What about the black one? She's coming too?"
Emerald grumbles as Rin simply raises his eyes and moves his phone out of her vision.
"It's rude to look through people's stuff without their permission, Emerald. And they are my friends, so treat them better."
Rin says this with a shake of his head before looking at the door of his café. Stretching his back, he suddenly asked with clarity in his eyes.
"By the way, what are Roman and Neo doing, anyway?"
"Oh, they're preparing for the raid on Friday—something along the lines of 'a spectacle for their debut'."
"Why would they — "
That made Rin just sigh mid-sentence as he went to sit along the counter with all his duties done for the afternoon. They usually had to prep for rush hour, so with no customers in sight, the ingredients and resources they would have needed were just lying around to be used for the evening.
"And to your question, no, Blake is out with her team as well. Who were Scarlet's team members again? Right, Nora, Ren, and Jaune."
Her head perked upwards at the mention of the scrawny guy that usually visited them.
"Jaune? You mean that kid as the Invincible Girl's teammate?"
He must be a heavy burden to her from what their spars were; that dummy was just swinging his sword around in their fights. Honestly, she would have felt bad for that bitch if it weren't for the fact that she was a bitch.
On second thought, this was going to be amazing. They were going to join the Vytal Festival Combat Tournament, right? It would be funny to watch the Invincible Girl's team struggle with that oaf on the team.
A few more minutes go by with no customers, causing Rin to just declare this day a loss. Walking to the door, he flips the sign that says OPEN to CLOSE. That made her stretch her own body, working the kinks out of her body before Rin spoke up.
"After treating Scarlet and her team, we'll go to the Old Man for more equipment of our own. We're almost out of Dust, and I could use a map for the dock's layouts."
Nodding in agreement, she looked out of Leblanc's windows, watching a few people walk around the streets window shopping. Looking down at her own clothing—a simple forest-green tank top and a pair of long jeans—she recalled that her bank account was getting quite full, too.
Quickly deciding, she got up and told Rin that she'd go buy some clothes since it was the occasion and what not. Definitely not because she suspects that Pyrrha would be dressed in something nice. Nope.

Blake Belladonna POV
S-She couldn't believe that she had just exposed herself! Months of hiding just to blurt it out accidentally? She groans as she plants her face on her palms, stressed at the thought of even seeing her team, especially Weiss.
Who does she think she is, berating the White Fang like that?! What an arrogant prick! Adam was right; she thought to herself, Schnees are all the damn same, immature and naive!
... OK, Blake, calm down. Agreeing with Adam, of all people, was a little too far. Weiss... She isn't like that. Well, she was like that, but she doesn't know better about what her father was doing behind their backs. She was just taught to hate the Faunus from a young age, she presumed, especially with that kind of family head as her father.
She... She'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she was just unaware of the real world. Huh, running away from your problems and taking some time off to think about them really is fruitful; Sienna should really do this more on the job.
... Oh, gods, she ran away from Beacon. Patting her pockets, she winced visibly as she cursed her habit of putting her purse away when she's at home. She only had her weapon and some ammo in her person; where was she going to stay the night with no money?
A sudden thought came to her mind as she weakly smiled: this was not going to look good, but it was the only place that she could think of right now. Walking in her intended direction through the familiar street, she prepared herself for the conversation of a lifetime.
Hopefully Rin wouldn't shun her because of her Faunus and White Fang status.
