BNHA: Dude, Just Eat This Kamehameha

CHAPTER 2

-

So… He was in a police station right now, and some weird things were shedding light upon.

First off, he was 11, go figure. No seriously, it was hard to figure out his age, even with the advanced technology this century had.

Visually my body was akin to a 7-& year old, but cellular wise he was 11.

And yes, “this century”, he didn’t word it wrongly. Shockingly, it was currently the year 2349. The Earth was 329 years older now since his death, mind-blowing.

The world… has changed a LOT since he left. Technology advancements here, historical events there… The prominent change however was that humans now evolved.

Quirks, or meta abilities, are superhuman abilities from human evolution that 80% of humans in this world own, ranging from nails that are sharper than usual to manipulation of natural elements.

And, heroes and villains were a thing. Literally straight out of a comic. And the good guys get paid too, which was a plus.

Now, the main point of this whole weird discovery. Turns out, the warehouse that he was in? It was the property of some super villain in the States. Dr. Genetics or something, that didn’t really stick in his head.

Apparently, he’s real infamous of his superpower and villainous behavior. His power is Genetic Alteration, the scientist could temporarily alter any living thing’s genetic code to whatever he likes via contact with his two palms at the same time.

Dude has been active in this villain business for over 3 decades now, he recently was captured just a year ago too, though he had a track record of escaping every prison from what the authorities told him.

Oh, and his arch-nemesis that always gets in his way was this huge buff woman with the American Flag colors all over her body. Something along the lines of Stars and Stripes? Seriously who was naming these people? Cause that's such a weird name.

Anyway, he kidnapped a random orphan, him, and went crazy with his modifications to his body, that’s why his body was almost 10 times stronger than an average human back in his time. It was a mystery why the modifications were permanent though, people are making speculations that it was his Quirk working.

He did have the genes for a Quirk, but he doubts that having Ki was his Quirk since everyone had Ki in them, it's just that he was the only one who had enough Ki Control to feel and use it. There was a side effect though, his hair was rigid and stubborn as hell, though he quite liked it since it looked like Gohan's base form hairstyle in the Buu Saga, but with Gogeta's bang.

As for memories… He simply said that he had none other than when he has woken up from the tank he was in. They somehow bought it, and boom, he now was a faithful citizen of the United States in the city of New York.

Oh, and he had to make a name. It took a while of thinking, he wanted to try and match the Son Family with Son Go-something, but he decided on Son Nion, to keep the vegetable tradition the Saiyans had, and the surname Son from the Son Family, since they were his favorite role models in the show.

Get it? Son Nion. Sour Onion.

Damn he was good.

So, after 5 gruesome hours of talking, interrogation, and filling out documents, he was a free kid with a free refurbished apartment unit, mandatory classes to control his "Quirk" for three years minimum, and $5000 allowance from some unknown benefactor who refers to himself as "R" every month.

Suspicious, but from what the officers told him, said person left a number for him to call if he needed anything. He'll take it into consideration, he guessed, 5K a month was a huge amount of drop on some random person.

1 Year Later...

In Ferncliff Forest, near Rhinebeck, New York...

Surrounded by a flame-like aura made of Ki, Nion floated in the sky to his usual training spot. It took him a damn long time of submissions, but he eventually got the permit to train his quote-unquote "Quirk" in the wild due to the destructive nature of his training.

He even had to call Mr. R, you know, the guy who gives him a large chunk of allowance every month, for the damn permit. Turns out that he was also a victim of Dr. Genetics, who experimented on him due to his Quirk.

Mr. R was initially one of the first few test subjects that Dr. Genetics tested on, but he was saved by this guy named All Might during his first year debuting as a hero decades ago. Moving on, Mr. R had some contacts in America, and it was because of him that he even got the permit in the first place, he presumed.

A year has passed since he found himself in this body, and let him tell you, Ki is seriously the best thing that happened to him. With this unique source of energy in his body, he could basically do anything with it, granted he had enough Ki and Control.

Flying was surprisingly easy once he got a hang of Ki Control, it's really simple, you just had to surround your body with Ki and move it. Your body will move along with the Ki and thus, flying is achieved.

Makes sense that Videl was able to fly with only a short time of training her Ki Control.

Landing in his usual clearing in the heart of the forest, he reabsorbed the Ki around his body to not waste the precious resource that he had before mentally measuring his power level.

Yeah, he was not idle in the past year. He had made strides in his training.

First was the scaling of power levels that he could measure. Power Levels were measured by the amount of Ki one had. And since Ki was the accumulation of training all three aspects of a living being, that is Body, Spirit, and Mind, measuring one's power level was an efficient way to gauge how dangerous or strong an enemy is.

Since his Ki Control was still not perfect yet, he instead opted to use other Ki signatures like domestic animals as a gauge for 1 Power Level (PL for short).

With the base set, he could roughly measure his own PL, which was currently at a PL of 43.

Honestly, it was less than he'd like. Here he was getting only an increase of 23 (He was at a PL of 20 when he escaped) after a year of training, a little disappointing.

Oh well, a PL of only 33 was already decent in terms of this new era's scale. Some heroes that he saw while they were patrolling had a rough average of 50 to 60 PL while an average person had about 5 to 10.

The second stride in his training was his improvement in powering up. Back then in the tank he could amplify his Ki by at least 10%. Now, because of his better Ki Control, he could increase his Ki by a whopping 36% right now, so at full power his PL would be close to 59. It was a 16 PL increase, which may look insignificant numerically, but it was a huge increase in combat!

The downside of powering up, however, was the extra drain of Ki. If you power up for an increase of 36%, then 36% more Ki was being spent to increase your fighting status. That's why he made the mental note to start off small and then ramp his way up to full power for maximum efficiency.

Third was attacking with Ki. He had no idea how to explain how Ki works in general, but in the case of him using Ki, he just had to think of the properties that his attacks will do, and the Ki just magically does it.

Seriously, Ki is just mystical in nature, maybe it can read or absorb some of his thoughts to generate the attacks? Anyway, there were a few forms of attacks that can be done with the usage of Ki, but the general ones that were shown in the show were Ki Blasts and Kiai Attacks.

A Ki Blast is just an abundance of Ki concentrated in one point, that can be given properties like exploding on contact, remote explosions, homing, remote control, etc. Kiai Attacks on the other hand are simply wind currents that one manipulates with Ki to do damage, like increase the temperatures of the wind, speed and ferocity, etc.

So far, he could easily do Kiai Attacks since they didn't cost that much Ki to use, but Ki Blasts were about 5 times more expensive Ki-wise. At most in his current state he could fire a few dozen in a row before getting a little tired, which was not that good.

It's a little sad, honestly, he had so much power but so little Ki to work with.

But today was different. He had been training for over a year, and his Ki reserves were much higher than the time he tried to copy the Turtle School's signature technique. Him a year ago couldn't even fire the beam, but the current him should be able to in theory.

Clenching his fists, he took a deep breath before closing his eyes. In his mental vision, he could see his Ki Pool with its usual warmth... But he needed it to be hotter. Raising both fists slightly into the iconic Dragon Ball powering up pose, he starts roaring.

"Haaaaaa!"

A pulse of wind blasts around his body as a flame-like aura flickered into existence around his body. He could feel his Ki amplifying at a drastic rate, but it wasn't enough. He needed more power. He needed to push further, to go beyond his current limit!

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The air around sharpened, the ground beneath him trembled, his aura bursting into a wildfire as his Ki raised past his limit, his body tense trying to draw out every speck of energy in him, and his mind focusing on only one image.

Opening his eyes with gritted teeth at the amount of power in his body surging to escape, he threw himself into the air before thrusting both arms forward, both ends of the palm linked together.

"Ka... "

He muttered as he reeled his arms back, his body twisted as his arms rested between his hip and stomach. Pumping as much Ki as he could into his palms, a mental image of what the Kamehameha did flashed in his mind as a small mote of blue energy started blinking into existence.

"Me..."

The blue mote grow in side as more Ki was fed into the technique, growing to the size of a baseball. The sphere shape was unstable though as the shape kept shifting from and back to a perfect sphere.

"Ha... Meeeeee!"

Feeling his Ki about to hit the bottom of the tank, Nion decided to unleash the charged power with a thrust towards the sky.

"HAAAAAAA!"

The world around him illuminated into a bright blue as a narrow blue beam shot out from his palms, moving in a straight line into the sky with sonic booms clapping as the beam shot with incredible speed to the atmosphere.

A few seconds later, the beam shooting out of his palms dissipated with a short flicker due to the lack of Ki fueling the technique.

"... Hehe... I did it."

A smile grew on his face before his Ki finally ran out. And then gravity took back its rightful place as he started falling, faceplanting on the ground with a loud thud.

"Owwwwww..."

Groaning in pain, he couldn't help but keep the smile on his face. The Kamehameha technique, conquered! Well, kinda, but semantics! That was his final thought before passing out snoring from sheer exhaustion.
