RWBY: Just a Gamer Grinding Away

CHAPTER 7

-

It took a good hour of them cleaning the Grimm infestation around their supposit camp, but eventually they stopped culling the Grimm and started heading back. Opening up my status page, I looked at my stats.

You might be wondering, how did I even finish my daily missions when I didn't have any place to train? I used the pocket dimension in the boat and started running circles around it. Took a few rounds since the space was limited, but the 5 kilometres (The quest's requirements increased per 10 levels) counted.

Thinking hard, I decided to divide my stat points into two before placing them into CON and AGI. I have enough STR for now, I'd like to avoid and tank more hits instead, it is more consistent in my opinion.

Before I could even cheer at those amazing perks, the sight of tents filled my vision. Staying quiet, I silently climbed on a tree a few dozen meters away, a skill that I learnt easily with the amount of nights that I had to sleep safely.

Now, I'm not a pro in stealth since I was more of the gun-ho type of person when playing games, but with my 20/20 vision that I got from this body, coupled with how far I was and with regulation of my breathing, surely no one would notice me.

A few seconds later, nothing alerted the people in my sights, so I should be good to go.

Taking my time to scout it out, I noted a few things that caught my eye.

First, there were 16 tents, with one of the tents having the red cross sticker plastered on the tent fabric, meaning that there should be about 15 or more faunuses (Is it faunuses, fauni, or just faunus? Have to do research when I get some kind of internet once I get to Atlas or Mantle) staying in the camp.

Second, a few faunus were standing guard around a larger tent than the rest. I managed to get a glimpse of what's inside when a person walked into the tent, and oh boy, that was a lot of explosives and weaponry.

RPGs, C4s, and a fuck ton of guns. They weren't only more than enough, no, it was enough to supply a whole fucking raid. That meant that there were more fucking people involved other than the 15 or more people in this camp, there were other camps!

Third, the group consisted of faunus that I haven't seen before in RWBY. No Adam Taurus and Blake Belladonna. They must be in another camp, this camp was meant to hold their weapons, their armoury before they attack the SDC.

That's... great news, actually. The heavy hitters aren't in this camp, I made sure with Observe, their levels were ranging from 15 to 20 with 23 being the highest level. Doing the mental math, I should have more than enough stats to fight all of them since I had the bonus of gaining an extra point to each stat per level up, and my daily quest that I've been grinding ever since I got here that gives 3 stat points to distribute every day.

Looking at the camp one last time, I dropped from my tree and started gathering the stuff that I need. I am a firm believer that heavily supports the meme of Batman winning any fight in the DC verse with enough "prep time". Low-level minions... Explosives and weaponry... Stop the White Fang's bombing... A lot of new potion recipes unlocked with my upgraded Production Mastery... Materials from my travels... ]

Yeah, I have a game plan, hopefully it's good enough. Time to become Batman for a while and plan out my course of action. The attack was tomorrow dawn presumably, so by tonight, I'll strike and finish the quest's objective.

Approaching midnight, I checked my Inventory one last time. I basically went sicko mode, creating as many potions as I could with my high MA Regeneration and potions, I think I went through a good 50 plus Mana Potions to create enough for my plan.

Meanwhile, I took the time to scout out the camp. Since it was already midnight, the majority of the camp went to rest, but 6 faunus were keeping watch in each corner of the camp with two patrolling in intervals to react if anything happens.

Opening my Inventory, I brought out a vial with black glowing liquid that shone lightly in the dark, this was one of my many new potions that I could make.

Grimm drop bottles of black mist labelled Grimm Essence from what Game explains while using Observe. It is commonly used for the advanced tier potions, with each advanced tier potions needing some kind of Grimm drop.

This particular potion uses 5 bottles along with 500 MP to create this vial of black potion.

[ Potion of Negativity (Advanced Tier) ]

[ A potion made by an advanced Producer using the essence of low-leveled Grimm. ]

It's called a Potion of Negativity, and when tossed onto the ground, it would plunge an area with a debuff called a Negative Aura. This will attract any Grimm nearby towards the camp with ferociousness.

The problem was the low 10 seconds of up-time. That's why I made 30 of them. 300 seconds should be enough to dip in there, and get out in time with the bombs.

How will I sneak in, you ask? Well, I fought against a Geist Grimm a day before sitting my boat to Atlas, and got a drop that was different from most Grimm drops.

[ Geist Eye (Rare) ]

[ The eye of a Geist, materialized after killing a Geist by slicing its head clean off as the last blow. The eye seemingly seems to phase and fade from sight at times. ]

Keyword focus on the last sentence, and bam after using a Geist Eye, and 1000 Aura and MP, I was left with this potion. Summoning it into my other hand, I shook the purple glowing liquid that occasionally shifts in colour to transparent, black, and back to purple.

[ Potion of Permeation (Advanced Tier) ]

[ A potion made by an advanced Producer using the eye of a Geist Grimm. ]

From the 31 advanced tier potions that I've made, it looks like potions at the tier of advance loses it's Lesser to Major title in front of the item name. And while debuffs use 500 MP, self buff potions takes 1000 AP and MP to create. It may be susceptible to changes, but I'll use these data as a base for now.

Looking at my status page, specifically my energy pools, I waited for them to fill up fully in 2 minutes as I went over the plan. Toss a few of the Potion of Negativity onto the ground, pop my Potion of Permeation, and shove all the weapons into my Inventory.

Alright, it's game time.
