DxD: O' Sword, Let Thee Be Filled

CHAPTER 4

-

Twilight fades in motes of purple as Sieg quickly scanned the area.

The whole hallway had evaporated from Balmung's attack, with marks of damage everywhere. With the two High-Class Devils nowhere in sight other than a severed arm, he noted that the closet did not sustain any damage at all, a good sign of the kids' safety when suddenly he gets kicked out of nowhere.

The force was so strong that it sent him flying out of the room's wall, out of the house as he quickly repositioned to land on his feet. He was now outside the Gremory Manor as he looked up with a raised guard.

The high Ultimate-Class Devil stared at him with an uncaring look before ordering.

"Get him."

Three blurs came out of the room before Sieg turned to the side with his sword raised, blocking an attack from the left.

CLANG!

Steel met steel as sparks ignited, the Devil in front of him equipped with gauntlets that had a sharp edge at the knuckles. A bloodthirsty grin rose from the face before punches started raining at him.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The pressure made him forget about the remaining two, as suddenly Sieg felt a sudden pain in his ribs. Something had slashed him, with a sharp edge. Another slash to his sword-arm, and another to his thigh. Sieg almost keeled onto the ground, but he forced himself to stand.

His eyes couldn't follow it, but his senses blared, causing him to duck before a sword soared at his previous positioned neck.

Taking a few steps back, Sieg was about to support himself with one of the many techniques he had learnt to use when he froze for a split second. Nothing was flowing at all, his Demonic Power was not flowing. It was like his energy source was caged, not allowing even a single speck to leak out.

Slamming his foot into the ground, dirt and debris rose, acting as a smokescreen as he quickly positioned himself away to analyse the situation.

The Gauntlet Devil was the frontline that pressure him hardly, the Sword Devil was the fast damage dealer that only his senses could track, and the remaining Devil must be the one who "locked" his Demonic Power. Lastly, the Ultimate-Class Devil that stood back, he was the main threat, the amount of pressure being exerted was weighing him down heavily.

But he had to deal with that backline support devil first. Tensing his body, he inhales sharply before he twisted the two sections of the handle, letting the sword release all the True Ether it had stored in the few dozen seconds that it was inactive.

He didn't want to do this, but for the sake of winning, he shall.

"O' Sword, Let Thee Be Filled."

A surge of white erupts from the jewel in the hilt, covering his whole body in a white hue. The sudden emergence of white causing the group of Devils to retreat a few steps back, the three looking at the Devil that "locked" his Demonic Power.

He didn't manage to hear what they were talking about, as Sieg held back a cry of pain as True Ether forcefully seeps into his body, the pain resembling thorns that are being pushed into his flesh, supercharging them with energy source of the One Above. This was the first spell that he created with True Ether as his energy source, Ether Burst.

It's akin to recreating the effect of a jet burst by expending the boundless True Ether that Balmung collects and stores, that's what Maou Ajuka explained after he had tested the theory at least.

The main point of this technique was the boost to his body. Everything is tripled, his strength, speed, reflexes, even his senses. To him, it's like time slows down briefly while the technique is still active.

Exploding into action, Sieg ran through the smokescreen with his blade angled before swinging his blade.

CLANG!

The surprise on the Blade Devil's face was evident as the devil barely managed to bring his guard up to defend the Support Devil's neck from being sliced off, but Sieg continued his rampage.

The air sings its ballad as Balmung struck and slashed with ferociousness, easily overpowering all three Devils at once. The blade of the felling dragon blurred at rapid speeds, on, with Sieg adapting to the devils' movements while the fight went on.

SLASH! SPLURTTT!

The Gauntlet Devil reacted too slowly to his slash, and his whole left arm paid the price. The short distraction was enough time for Sieg to finish him off, Balmung cleaving his head off like butter.

With a more manageable breathing room, it only took Sieg another minute and a half to deal with the other two devils via taking advantage of the openings that showed itself upon the death of their comrade.

Stabbing Balmung into the ground, the white-haired teenager panted with heavy yet controlled breaths as he looked up at the high Ultimate-Class Devil who was just sitting on the roof of the manor. Blood continued to trickle from his numerous wounds, so he quickly used his Demonic Power that was "unlocked" upon killing the Support Devil to clog up the wounds. Their eyes met, and surprisingly a series of claps sounded.

"Bravo, bravo. As expected of an 8-pawned Peerage member of the Leviathan, you dismantled my team quicker than I predicted with that trick of yours, thought it seems that it takes quite a toll on your body."

He was right. Ether Burst increases his parameters three-folds, with the setback of immense body damage as a drawback. It was honestly just adrenaline and duty that was fuelling him right now, or else he would have fell face-first onto the ground the second he stopped using Ether Burst.

Floating while still sitting, the high Ultimate-Class Devil landed on his feet and stood just a few meters from Sieg. They stared each other down before the wards that surrounded the manor suddenly shattered, the darkened sky returning to its eerie purple twilight.

The Devil before him clicked his tongue as he looked over to the side. Sieg started the motions of dashing towards him, but a simple raise of a palm stopped him.

"This is why I don't use hired men, they simply can't do their job right. Just 7 more minutes per scheduled, but no, they just had to die or surrender on the spot the moment two angry Maous came."

Something was covering his whole body, he couldn't move. He expected the devil in front of him would strike while he couldn't do anything, but the devil simply tipped an imaginary hat at him.

"Sigh... Seems like reinforcements have arrived earlier than I'd like, so I will bid you adieu for now, Homunculus of the Twilight. Till we meet again in the future, I will finish my job then."

One moment he was in front of him, and the next he was gone. No shine of a magic circle, no visual representation. He just... Vanished into thin air. A second later, Sieg could finally move.

"SIEG!"

The sound of his Master caused him to relax his whole body, like a puppet without any strings. She was here now, along with a very dense Demonic Presence that reeked of Destruction. With them here, his objectives were finally cleared, the heiresses were safe, and his stalling had worked.

He won.

And so he fell into Morbius' realm from his wounds, with the warmth of his Master covering his body like a blanket.

The Maous attempted to keep the news down, but somehow the media got word that he did what he had to in the Gremory Manor. The power scale of the Devil race was already thin enough, but Sieg had killed peak High-Classes, and three Ultimate-Classed Devils.

That was bound to cause a lot of controversies.

On one hand, some were congratulating and praising him for taking care of his Master's family and friends, along with the praise of him being strong enough to kill Ultimate-Class Devils. Devils were beings that respected strength, after all.

On the other hand... some were very vocal about his execution for the lives of countless high ranking Devils, even when given evidence that the Manor was attacked by said Devils.

Politics was something that he didn't understand, even after taking lessons from Madam Sitri and her Queen. But immediately after he recovered, he was granted the status level and classification of Ultimate-Class. After doing some tests and power measurements, the committee that governed the rank-up classifications all voted to raise his rank.

The Devil world blew up overnight. The Devil kind's youngest Ultimate-Class, at the simple age of 12, reincarnated or not, was a boon to society. He even received a title, the Ultimate Pawn of Leviathan.

He asked of how it was even possible, to which his Master said something along the lines of "Wanting to treat her cute little Sieg-chan with an early birthday present!".

He then noted that this was supposed to be a birthday present for his 16th birthday, from what Maou Lucifer whispered to him. The thought of power abuse from a Maou surfaced in his mind, and the right move was to scold his Master for such activities, before an imaginary Serafall Leviathan in his head suddenly blasted the idea away with her magical wand.

What is she doing, anyways? Looking at the time in his room, he noted that it was time for brunch, so Sieg got up from his seat in his room and had a look into the room next to his, revealing his Master who was doing twirls in front of a mirror with a magical girl costume.

And laying on her bed was a bounded Sona Sitri that was looking at him with desperate eyes, trying to signal him to help her.

... Yeah, this was what he normally expected from his Master.

A heavy sigh later, Sieg got to work as the Pawn of the Leviathan, pulling his sleeves up in preparation to deal with a very stubborn magical girl. And when Sona escapes from her sister's grasps, she will definitely tell on her to Madam Sitri, meaning more emotional damage from his Master, thus more work to do as the only Peerage member (Cooking comfort foods and film marathons of magical girls).

His Master was truly a slave-driver.
