RWBY: Just A Passing-By Kamen Rider

CHAPTER 7

-

Exploding into action, Beak Boy reacted in time as his Quirk Dark Shadow launched towards Tsukasa with claws extended outwards. Ponytail quickly backtracked with her hands to her exposed hips while Purple Midget was busy screaming and running backwards.

Meeting the attack heads on, Tsukasa clashed with Dark Shadow, grabbing the extended claw outwards before quickly turning backwards. Tightening his hold on the shadow arm, he gave out a roar as his body rolled, doing a judo throw.

“WOAH!”

Dark Shadow yelped as Beak Boy gets dragged due to their connection, slamming Dark Shadow with a slight crack on the ground while Beak Boy gets slingshotted towards the wall.

Feeling something behind him, he quickly let go of Dark Shadow’s arm as he rolled to the side, dodging a staff thrust that was aimed at his head. Recovering from the roll, he calmly gets up from the ground as he stared at Ponytail getting into a combat stance with a metal staff in hand.

“A weapon? Alright then, I’ll make this even.”

Drawing a card from the Rider Booker, he inserts it into his buckle.

[ATTACK RIDE…]

Pushing the handles inwards, he extended his right arm outwards towards a window.

[SWORD VENT!]

He smirked the surprise in her eyes as a sword shot out from the glass and rested on his palm. Raising it up to inspect its craftmanship, he gave a nod. The blade’s edge was as sharp as it should be, the slight curve of the blade didn’t warp it, and the handle fitted perfectly on his hand.

“This is such a good weapon. Shall we compare our weapon qualities?”

Pouncing towards Ponytail, he tilted his head to duck the thrust before swinging his sword diagonally upwards towards her neck. She was flexible enough to quickly transition her missed attack into a guard to intercept the slash, but she immediately let go of the staff and instead decided to dodge after she watched her staff getting cut through like butter.

WHOOSH!

Her chin bled upon contact with the blade, though the cut was shallow. He let the girl scramble backwards to gain the distance while he swiped the air beside him, cutting through a purple ball that headed towards him with a single slash.

“What?! How did that even cut — "

Deciding to knock out one of them to lower their moral, no matter how useless their comrade is, he started walking towards the midget calmly.

“S-Stay back!”

Plucking balls from his hair, he started throwing them rapidly towards Tsukasa, who sliced up every single one with ease. His throwing was surprisingly good, even if it was telegraphed.

Within a few meters from the midget, he tossed his blade upwards into the sky. Purple Midget’s eyes focused on the sudden toss of the blade before the air in his body gets knocked out with a punch to the solar plexus.

Reeling his arm back, Tsukasa watched as Purple Midget drop to his knees, coughing up a storm before his head drops to the ground. One down, two to go.

“Yaoyorozu, go!”

Beak Guy yelled as he ran at Tsukasa, Dark Shadow following his command as it expanded its size to block the Rider’s vision, wrapping itself around his body to constrain him.

Too bad it didn’t work though, because he could see through objects and track heat signatures with the helmet of his. It’s actually a basic feature of all Riders to have these type of perception functions built into their masks.

BOOM!

Ponytail stepped on the third stair, causing the impact grenade to activate as it blew up the whole staircase with Ponytail taking a reduced amount of the damage due to the staircase taking the brunt of the explosion.

She did however drop to the ground roughly, knocking the air out of her body.

Channeling a bit of his abundance of Rider Energy, he activated Ryuki’s signature element and covered his whole body with it. Dark Shadow screamed in pain at the sudden increase in temperature, letting him go in shock.

Taking a few steps back, he looked at the trio. Purple Midget was knocked out unconscious, Ponytail was struggling to get up due to the concussion of the explosion’s low-powered shockwave, and Beak Guy was clutching on his limp left arm.

Yeah, it was time to bring it in.

Tossing the Dragsaber behind him, he ignored the flabbergasted looks of the two conscious students as he drew the last card of the fight after sighing with a heave.

“I’m bored, you guys are boring me. I’m ending this fight right now.”

Pulling the side handle apart, he flashed them the final card of the fight before inserting it into the central unit.

[FINAL ATTACK RIDE…]

The nearby window shatters as a red mechanical dragon burst into existence, coiling around Tsukasa with growls aiming towards the two. Their face paled as Dark Shadow whimpers at the sudden need to submit, the pressure exerted by the dragon was too strong.

[“Y-Young Tsukasa! Stop this now!”]

“I’ll abide to the rules, don’t worry.”

Reassuring All Might, he pushed the side handles into the central unit, and got into a wide crouching stance, with both arms thrusted outwards.

[R-R-RYUKI!]

The dragon starts spiraling around the Rider as he reeled his arms to his right, growling at the sudden burst of Rider Energy within in. Channeling enough energy into his right leg, he was about to jump when a siren suddenly rang.

… That siren was meant to signal the end of the training match. Tsk, All Might must have stopped the match before he could do his final attack.

With a sigh, he let the channeled energy around his leg dissipate.

“Return, Dragreder. Sorry for bringing you out without any action.”

The dragon gave him a low growl before flying towards a window glass, disappearing into it after distorting the glass.

Pulling and pushing the side handle back and forth three times, he felt the temporary power leave his body as the body armor of Ryuki faded away from his body into motes of silver.

Stretching his hands and cracking his neck, he walked over to Ponytail and Beak Guy, ignoring their flinches as he slung the midget over his shoulder.

“Sorry for being so rough, but no bad guy would hold back as I did.”

“Y-You held back?”

The girl’s whimper made him feel a little bad. He ruffled his hair in thought on how to break it to her before answering.

“Yeah, this power of mine, I had to hold my strength back or else it would have killed you. It’s like driving a F1 car, in a highway I suppose, holding back takes more effort than optimizing the suit’s explosive power.”

Answering the question of the peppering students around him as much as he could, the class finally ends, making him sigh in relief at the bell ringing. Putting his bag away into his pocket-dimension, he starts walking back home with his hands in his pockets, admiring the view of Musutafu.

Seriously, this place looks so good when it’s dusk, and the appreciation increases drastically during the night when all the lights of the buildings were turned on fully. This was something that he liked doing other than photography, just walking around Musutafu, and enjoying the scenery and mood of the city.

Today was a nice day, even if it was a little more boring than he’d like, it was still something. Not frequent that he’s able to whip out his Kamen Rider transformation.

Feeling his phone vibrate, he took it out from his pocket.  A message from Nezu. Opening it, he couldn’t help but snort.

[Rat Chimera: “So, you’re the masked hero that’s been helping around.”]

He attached pictures of him transforming into his Kamen Rider Ghost form from an angle, most likely by a security camera. But dang, how did he even get that picture in 4K?

[Rat Chimera: “I’ll let this go if you’d show all of your forms, Kamen Riders, yes?”]

[Kamen Rider: “Sure, just give me a heads-up whenever.”]

Typing his response, he didn’t have to wait long.

[Rat Chimera: “Perfect! How about tomorrow after classes? I’m quite excited to test your forms with our equipment!”]

Raising his eyebrow, he asked.

[Kamen Rider: “Aren’t you going to ask where I got this tech?”]

[Rat Chimera: “I doubt you’d answer truthfully anyways! Might as well keep you close instead of pushing you away!]

… Huh, that made sense. He gave a “thumbs up” emoji and kept his phone back in his pocket.

What a smart rat. It’s a little bit scary at how sharp the rat was.
