BNHA: It's HERO TIME!

CHAPTER 7

-

“I seriously need to get a bank account.”

Blitzwolfer growled with annoyance as he started to grab the unconscious thug on the throat and lifted him up. Oh, right, criminal down, so he should do their symbol so that more people will know that it’s “them”. With his other hand, his claws extended, causing the victim of the crime to flinch.

Confused, he looked back at the crying teen, face filled with fear towards him, before his eyes moved back to his claws. He flexed his fist, as moonlight glimmered on the sharp claws.

Ah, crap.

He turned off his camera.

“Oh, oops. Sorry, I wasn’t meaning to scare you.”

Retracting his claw, he quickly searched through the clothing the thug was wearing and took out all the things that the criminal owned. A knife, some cigarettes, a lighter, a wallet! Nice! He grabbed it and took out the Yen notes before putting it into his Omnitrix.

Dropping the thug on the ground, he gently approached the girl who scampered back away from him. He scratched the fur behind his neck.

“Listen, miss. I didn’t mean to — Uh, can you please call the cops? I’m part of the Chimera Org, I’m not a bad guy — Well kind of, since I’m a vigilante and all that, but I don’t mean any harm.”

Seeing as the woman still shivered in fear, Blitzwolfer sighed as he decided to get a little rough. He didn’t have anything to contact the local authorities with, so he would have to do things that hard and immoral way.

“Sorry about this.”

Approaching the teen, he searched her body until he found a cellphone, ignoring the horrifying cries and whimpers, before opening the emergency numpad function of her phone and called the police. Functioning a touchscreen phone with his claws was a nightmare, but he eventually did it with a little bit of scratches on the phone’s display protection. Placing it back into her hands, he said with as much gentleness as he could.

“Please, tell them what happened, and what the man tried to do to you. After that, get a nice warm bath and some ice-cream, usually helps from what I hear with these.”

Giving her a wolfish grin and pointing at his ears, he took a few steps back and makes sure that the thug is completely unconscious before using his enhanced leg muscles to blast into the sky.

Landing a few blocks away on a rooftop, he waits as the teen slowly composes herself and started talking to the police officer who’s on call. Taking his time, he waited until a police car arrived for the girl before getting away for his next hero moment.

“Still though, I didn’t think that I was the one who scared her. Man, I feel really bad now.”

“It’s no wonder most of the people you save are scared of you. You don’t really project the image of safety, especially if you come in, beat up the criminals, leave your signature, and leave.”

Azmuth suddenly appeared in front of him as he was jumping to another rooftop. Hmm, this city really has a lot of accessible rooftops, makes it easy to traverse around.

“Don’t forget looting the bad guys too. That’s important for the Org.”

That was their current way of earning money too. Packages from fans were mostly traps with trackers or paralysis gas. Too bad he had to stop, the first few were really sweet with thank you cards and some fruits.

“My point stands, you don’t inspire safety and heroism. Instead in their eyes you are more of a predator finding a challenge, with your appearance and all.”

When he feels like he’s far enough, he presses on the Omnitrix symbol on his stomach and reverts back to Daniel with a flash of red, staring at Azmuth with an annoyed look.

“Out of all 10 aliens, Blitzwolfer is the only sonar alien in the playlist that can hear up to 10 miles, making him the best choice in terms of responding to day-to-day emergencies. Heatblast is for super emergencies like a supervillain, and Astrodactylis the same as Heatblast only for aerial combat.”

Of course, Juryriggis his tech alien, and Ghostfreak was his scouting espionage alien. XLR8 however, remains his trump card, while the other aliens are his hidden trump cards.

“Eh, besides, it’s the thought that counts anyways. I’m sure that she’ll understand what I did after she calms down.”

Pulling his hood up, he checks his cloaking device before putting both hands into his pockets. Time to find another rooftop to access before going hero again, he had to mislead the heroes who were after his head with the random location appearances.

“Oh, my god.”

Daniel suddenly sat up from his bed with a shocked expression. Dang it, why didn’t he think about this?

“A hologram device to fake out the heroes about his time limit!”

It would give him the perfect chance to recharge his Omnitrix while still being able to help others with the device showing an alien instead of his real face!

Man, he was so smart! Not only that, he could now use the growing pile of weapons!

He turned to see the literal pile of weapons stacked on one another before sighing.

… He’d have to screen them first though, no doubt that the odds of finding a non-lethal weapon was 1 out of 50. Yeah, that was a good idea, he recalled Juryriggmaking a comb that could expand into a buster blade, with coils and a portable nuclear reactor that could electrocute an entire ocean.

Taking a step back, he couldn’t help but grin at the costume the mannequin in front of him looked.

A black jacket with white streaking down the middle of both sides of the clothing, with the left cuff being shorter than the right’s along with it being toxic chemical green instead of the right’s black. Underneath his jacket was a white t-shirt that hung loosely, with the symbol of the Omnitrix printed.

Secured snugly was a black utility belt with two holsters at each hip, with his dark blue jeans and black sneakers.

The material was made up of hero-grade Kevlar linings that he got his hands on from the dark web with cash on delivery miles from his base, combined with some cloth that Juryrigg made specifically to create this set of costumes.

His clothes were now stab-proof, slash-proof, heat-resistant, cold-resistant, gun-proofed up to 5.56 mm ammunition, and had a very high durability. The best thing about this though, was the hologram feature.

By pulling up the hood of the jacket over and completely covering his face, and activating the device in his utility belt, his whole clothing will start to cloak and project an alien that he chooses. He can see through the hood too, which means that no visibility is lost while in the cloaking mode.

The cloaking device even has a V.I., not as powerful as Azmuth of course, but enough to simulate the holographic alien’s moves when he wanted to, using a neural link that connected him to the V.I. which in turns conveys his intentions to the holographic cloaking device.

Sometimes, his genius just frightening.

So, to complement the device’s features, he created a set of weapons, each going into their own utility belt slot, that mimicked his alien’s abilities.

For Heatblast, he made glowing grenade-like balls that catch on fire if shot out at a high enough velocity, and can remotely explode on impact or by impacting an obstacle. He also had a flamethrower that functioned as a grenade launcher, for the support item above. Along with a glove that could heat up when both buttons were pressed.

Astrodactyl, he made laser gauntlets that shot out green beams, along with energy whips that he could use with the same gauntlets. The flying part he didn’t make yet, but it was in the works.

And lastly for Blitzwolfer, he made a mask-like support item that simulated the werewolf’s howls and amplifies them to create the sonic howls. He also made some brass knuckles that could extend into claws. And lastly, a pair of earphones that could amplify sound around him to simulate the alien’s hearing.

Yeah, that was something that made him slap himself with. If he made those earphones earlier, then he wouldn’t have to use Blitzwolfer every time to track or find crimes. Dumb move from him, for that part, forgot about the miracle worker in his Omnitrix playlist that could theoretically create anything from scratch.

Anyways, he still had more stuff in the utility belt of his, but thank goodness Juryriggmade the items with the intention for storage, they could simply fold back into their inactive states the size of a ping-pong ball for easy keeping in the belt.

… This was going to be a nightmare to equip and take off though. Dang it, he didn’t really think about that.
