BNHA: It's HERO TIME!

CHAPTER 2

-

Japan was really clean, he noticed. Like, seriously, there wasn’t any litter anywhere at all! Especially the park, the place was so clean he swore that the benches were waxed and polished every morning from the looks of them.

“Alright, we should be good here…”

Dani looked around the place and confirmed that there wasn’t anyone nearby before staring at the hologram in the air.

“Now, explain. What the crap is going on?”

Azmuth gave a sigh as he paced around in the air.

“As I’ve said, I am the Virtual Intelligence residing inside the Omnitrix, but it’s more complex than that. When my creator gave Ben Tennyson the new and improved Omnitrix, he realized that he had to hide the bastardized version, the Ultimatrix, somewhere else other than his home planet due to security reasons, preferably in another universe where no one in the Prime universe can get their hands on.

Therefore, he requested the help from a Professor Paradox to find the perfect person that could fit his criteria. And you were chosen. Have you wondered why you were never sick? Never hot in the summer and cold in the winter? Never feeling intensive pain when normal people do?”

The sudden question causes him to flash back to the numerous times weird things happened. Burning his finger felt like a normal sting, heat and coldness weren’t a thing during their seasons, hell he was pretty sure that he hadn’t had a cold since he was 3.

Dani nodded with a face.

“Your DNA is unique, you have some sorts of adaptability power that is inhuman, as small as it is.”

Huh, he has superpowers.

“How strong is this adaptability anyways?”

Azmuth had a thoughtful look.

“By my calculations, your adaptability prowess is about 4 to 6 times faster than your race’s standard. But we are getting sidetracked.

Of course, most of the criteria don’t match, but a good 92% of them are, meaning you are the best option that my creator has chosen to wield the Ultimatrix.”

Dani looked at the watch on his arm.

“But that doesn’t explain why I’m here in this My Hero Academia world. And why is the Ultimatrix in its prototype Omnitrix mode?”

Surprisingly, Azmuth shook his head.

“The former, I have no knowledge off. My creator did not state his reasonings in my databanks, and I am forbidden to bring up this topic by my own.

As for the latter, the Omnitrix Core calibrated itself based on the level of safety. Your body of 10 years simply is too weak and fragile to accept the playlists and Evolutionary Function of the full Ultimatrix. Thus, the calibration to the prototype, until your body adapts to the DNA insertion process, you will be stuck with it temporary.”

Groaning, Dani rubbed his temples. This stuff was confusing as heck. He now had more questions, but for now he needed shelter and food. He was starving.

“Any chance that the Omnitrix can whip up some food for me?”

Azmuth simply gave him a look, that was all he needed to convey. Dani sighed as he turned on the Omnitrix, watching the dial pop-up with the faceplate showing his aliens’ silhouettes.

Time to get some money, however immoral it is.

“I really hope that the real Azmuth fixed this problem, don’t want a ghost roaming around this world. It’s… Not Hero Time.”

*BAMM!*

“Ugh, never transforming into him again!”

He mutters as he placed the last wallet into a plastic bag.

“Ectonurites are gaseous beings that separate themselves at a molecular level, it’s a given that mild discomfort is present when your human form is solid.”

Azmuth said with a deadpanned look as he looked through the contents in the wallets that he stole. He can’t touch them, but he can look through the wallets, evident as he reemerged with the grand total.

“21,300 Yen, a good sum for 10 minutes’ worth of work. This should be sufficient for 2 days-worth of food from what I’ve scanned.”

“Hey, this 10-minute timer is getting on my nerves, anything to increase the limit?”

“If you want your body to implode from the alien DNA corrupting your own DNA, then be my guest.”

Separating the cash from the wallets with disappointment, he made a mental note to turn back into Ghostfreak to deposit the wallets into a police station. Of course, he dared not touch their bank cards and ID card, he just needed the spare cash.

Speaking about ID cards, he needs to get one. If he wanted to stay in a nice hotel or do stuff that a normal citizen can do, an ID is a must. He learned that the hard way after trying to get a motel room with the help of Azmuth translating the language.

Got bombarded with questions, and the cashier’s hand was reaching out for the phone, most likely to call 911 due to his age and lack of ID. He ran away as quickly as he could.

So, since he couldn’t get shelter, he simply decided to make his own.

With Azmuth’s guidance, something about using echolocation and invisible energy waves, the Omnitrix is able to create a detailed 3D rendition of a map 3 kilometers wide in radius. There’s also the feature of being able to see any living being with a heartbeat on the map, but it was a little bit distracting so he turned the feature off.

Looking through the map, he saw a warehouse that looked abandoned from the state of the warehouse, just 2.6 miles from here. It just needed some love and attention to it, so he settled on it being his home base for now.

Scrolling through the options in his Omnitrix’ playlist, he looked at the sky before grinning. Flight sounds amazing with this weather and sun. He slams the dial of the Omnitrix down.

*BAMM!*

Transforming, his human form molded into looking like a pterodactyl with glider as his wings and an organic looking jetpack on its pack, wearing black and white clothes while the Omnitrix symbol was on its left shoulder. Fluttering its retractable wings, the alien gave out a squawk before yelled out its name, his arms in the sky

ASTRODACTYL!

Using his instinctive understanding of the alien upon transforming into them, he fully extended his wings before using the inner star power within him to fuel the jetpack behind his back, blasting himself into the sky and above the clouds.

With Azmuth telling him where to go, he raised his speed, feeling the wind hurling towards his face as Dani shouted.

“OH, THIS IS SO SQUAK-KING AWESOME!!!”

Pumping more star power into the jetpack, he propelled himself with his arms tucked to his sides for aerodynamics as he launched himself towards the destination with blinding speeds, doing the occasional barrel rolls and getting berated by Azmuth about his time limit.

Landing on the ground after a minute or two of constant flight, he pressed on the Omnitrix symbol on his left arm as a flash of green illuminated the warehouse, with Astrodactylturning back into normal Daniel.

Looking around, he nodded to himself at the amount of space the warehouse had before looking at his watch. It was recharging with the faceplate’s green now glowing red, he told Azmuth to start the recharging early, but since he only used a few minutes, give or take, of his transformation, it should be back up very soon.

And turns out, while in recharge mode, Azmuth can’t talk at all, something interesting to note.

While waiting though, he should probably check if this unit is on sale, it’s going to be pretty awkward if potential buyers suddenly barge in, should be a sign with words like BUY or SALE nearby. Well, hopefully there is one.
