Marvel: Power Levels are Bullshit

-
He was ten years old when his memories of his past life awakened, and it was in the middle of a school day too. Too much information entering the brain at once is fatal, so he fainted while playing soccer, his nose bleeding a fountain of blood as his classmates tried to help him, screaming for their PE teacher.
He was in a coma for a week, and in the meanwhile in his head, he was cross-referencing both lives' memories and events, the mind scape being a courtesy of the Random Omnipotent Being (ROB) who sent him there.
First thing that he noted was this warm feeling in his stomach. To the 10-year-old, it was normal for him since he had this warmth for as long as he could remember, but as a 10-year-old David, this was definitely something abnormal.
He suspects that this warmth was an energy source. The evidence that was pointing to this fact was his physical body, which was much stronger than the normal 10-year-old. He could carry weights that far surpasses his age group, and his speed and endurance was heightened to a good degree.
Furthermore, 10-year-old David was more energetic than most kids. His parents had brought him to a doctor, who diagnosed him as having ADHD, but the 19-year-old knows that it was not ADHD because he would not run out of energy even after a full hour of running around tracks that the school had.
19-year-old David (Ugh, he was just going to refer to older himself as Dave from now on) started looking through magic systems from fiction to find out exactly what he had, but it was like searching for a needle in a haystack, there were simply too many of them.
The second thing that caught his eye was the news article that David saw just the morning before his soul reawakened. That... Kinda caused him to have a mental breakdown at the thumbnail of the cover page.
STARK EXPO 2010 ANNOUNCED!
31 MAY, 5 MONTHS FROM NOW!
The image of the headline was a picture of Iron Man and a Robert Downey Jr., with the Stark Industries logo below them.
Marvel. He was in Marvel. Oh, god, he was in Marvel of all places.
Man, he doesn't even know anything important other than the basic plot of the movies. Just... Why Marvel? He was more of a DC fan, dammit.
OK, calm down Dave. First things first, he needs the plots of every film written down — Oh, god that was a bad idea. Never mind, he can already see it, someone similar to Batman in this universe placing listening and watching bugs all around his house.
He'll just have to remember it in his head then, and hope to god no one has telepathy in this world... Eh, maybe there aren't any, who knows.
For now though, magic system, that is a must immediately. He needs to know what he was working with here.

(Day 4 after awakening)
His parents, bless their hard-working souls, were normally not home due to work, so the whole 3-story house was his for 6 hours after being dropped off by the bus.
So, he took advantage of it, clearing the living room and shifting some furniture around until he had a good amount of space to test out this energy thing within him.
Sitting in a lotus position, Dave breathed deeply before focusing on this warmth in his stomach. Using magic system energies of other fictions as reference, he tries to "pull" some of this warmth away from the source in his stomach.
A few seconds of nothing and effort later, he finally feels a change. This feeling... How to explain this? Hmmm... OK, it's like trying to do another set of arm curls after already hitting failure.
This warmth is very, very stubborn, it just doesn't want to move away from the source. Sighing, he reopened his eyes only to feel light-headed as he slumps to the ground, one hand supporting his body to not fall down.
"Oughh..."
It was as if his body just ran 30 miles in under an hour, he felt so tired even though his muscles weren't strained at all, it was super weird.
*GROWL...*
And he was so hungryyyy...
Struggling to get up, he forces himself to walk to the pantry for a snack only to groan when his eyes laid on the clock on the wall.
He came back from school at 4, and it was currently just 4:37, just 8 minutes of doing this made him feel so tired already.
This... This was going to take a while...

(Day 17 after awakening)
He had been grinding this for so many days straight that he finally could pull some energy from his stomach to his fingers and toes without feeling sick.
He spent every waking movement to train his control (That was what he was calling it, since he had to "control" his energy to move) over this energy of his. He even fainted a few times from over exhaustion (During another soccer game again!) This caused his parents to hire a nanny to take care of him if he faints at home.
He clicks his tongue at the conversation, this was going to be an obstacle to his training, the time was already low enough, now it will be decreased drastically.
Oh well, at least he had some good news.
When he channels this warmth through his body, he noted that the warmth flow through channels of small tubes. And every time he does so, he could feel his body getting more powerful.
His guess was that this warmth of his that circulates to his body sends out energy to his cells, causing him to feel the increase in power. That was why in every training session, he feels weak and that the warmth feels less warm.
He finally had a skill to add to his collection, the first of many. He couldn't see the improvements to his physical body yet since he doesn't have the tech to do so for now though.
But a superpower! A god-damn superpower! He could lift his bed up with both hands! That was super human levels of strength!
This just made him more excited, a power that he could control? This sparked his grinding mindset, feeling the urge to start grinding more hours to master this energy control that he had.
How can anyone not train this into a useful tool?

(Day 32 after awakening)
Hahahaha... Ki. This energy of his in his body was Ki. From fucking Dragon Ball, 99% sure that it is from the franchise that was well verse in.
How did he come to this conclusion? Well...
An energy ball was floating between his palms. A Ki Blast ball was in his hands!
With his now superior control of the energy within him, he tried to manifest it into reality, extensively trying to flow it out of his fingertips and into the real world.
A few days of trying later, he finally did it after one minor inclusion. Normally, he used all his concentration to flow and control the energy, but with his now better control at it, he could split his concentration into two steps.
Control and Visualisation.
That was the key to creating this ball of Ki. He visualised what he wanted to use the Ki for, a ball of energy. And boom, he did it.
The ball of Ki was yellow, and it was small, the size of a ping pong ball. But it was bright, as in shining bright. It illuminated the whole living room by just existing.
Cutting the Ki supply for the ball, he watched as it slowly shimmered out of existence before closing his eyes once more. Taking a deep breath, he exhales as he moved the Ki in his stomach through his body, from the abdomen to his palm, and focused as he willed the Ki to flow out of his body, visualizing the glow, the shape, the heat.
Reopening his eyes, Dave grinned at the sight of a pulsing ball of light in his hands once again.
Oh... He was so spamming this.

(Day 39 after awakening)
He found out how to place properties into the Ki Blasts.
He always wondered how some Ki Attacks in Dragon Ball were remote detonated while others explode upon impact. It turns out, that during the visualizing phase of creating a Ki Blast, you could visualise the properties that you would like the Ki Blasts to have.
Example...
He was currently in his backyard doing the test.
Concentrating, his body tremors slightly from the exertion as motes of yellow flowed out of his palm to converge into a small ball. It slowly expanded until it was the size of a baseball.
He raised the hand "holding" the ball of Ki towards his target practice, a plastic bottle on top of some cardboard boxes. Aiming precisely, he adjusts his hand a little before shouting out.
"HA!"
The ball of Ki that floated just a few centimetres from his palm, shoots out and soared like a thunderbolt towards the bottle, leaving a trail of Ki.
It impacts the bottle and carves into it, flying through the bottle and ending its journey after slamming into the shed, leaving a circle hole in the wooden walls.
Dave blinks for a few seconds to process what just happened before looking at his palm.
... Shit, he put too much Ki into that Ki Blast.
There were 2 properties that the Ki Blast held. The first one was to fly in a straight line, using the Ki in that ball to propel itself towards a target. The second one was to vaporise anything that it touches, which was kinda overkill now that he thought about it.
These properties will be active until the Ki in the Blast runs out or if it is dismissed. (Explosion property, Ki Blast cut in half, etc.)
... Fuck, he now had to make up something to explain about the shed's wall.
