The level takes place at The Caldera Volcano, that green lava is a mixture normal lava and a high amount of spiritual energy, given it's nature it is very dangerous and only Luz can resist it a little bit.

I'm not sure yet, she won't be available in the first version, that is for sure, but adding all the previous animations will be difficult since her updated model makes it a bit hard.
