Happy Valentines Day~ (2023) + Bonus

Heya there, everyone! Happy Valentines Day~

As is tradition each year, I'm back with a new special Valentines illustration, and had a lot of fun coming up with this one alongside the artist! This year we have everyone's favourite royal knight/grumpyboobs taking the spotlight, somewhat bashfully presenting her homemade chocolate to you.

And judging by the state of the kitchen behind her...and the various bandages adorning her hands...she had quite a ferocious battle on her hands as she tamed those ingredients. But I'm sure the end result will be tasty, and totally edible and safe for consumption. As long as it's made with love, that's what matters after all, right?

This was one of those pieces that was fun to conceptualise, as it lets us see a QF character in more casual, modern wear, and gosh does Cynthia look cute here. That ribbon keeping her hair together is the perfect touch.  <3 Plus getting to see her more bashful, cute side is always a treat. The side that Ren will relentlessly tease about, only to get an iron fist to the face. Let's hope she isn't lurking by the window, or anything...

Also, as an added bonus, I also got some more cute Valentines-esque art of Kevin and Alice from my escape room project I put a prototype out of in previous years. Because I just can't forget those characters, and always enjoy revisiting them with teh artist and take any excuse I can to get more art done of them, so enjoy this bonus illustration!

In this, I wanted to showcase how spacey ol' Alice is in her own little wonderland most of the time, and perhaps this shows how she perceives the world around her, and why she seems to totter about without ever being fazed by it in the slightest. And I don't think I've learned too hard on Alice in Wonderland references, so why not take the chance to do so now in this more lighthearted piece~? I love all of the smaller details in this outside of how adorable Kevin and Alice look, too, and hope you can appreciate it as well as a fun extra, even if I know it's not everyone's jam.
