Nem sent a letter saying she'd hidden with her family. Sorin saw her in cuffs escorted through street, which indicated that Nem was not safe and not with her family in free will. This indicates that she didn't send the letter even tho she did, but she would have changed her mind potentially. Either way, he's rescuing an innocent girl he has worked with for a fair bit of time who has been fair with him, all things considering.

Sure more firepower when farming is nice but she clearly didn't want to be in the team anymore and did not like him and quite frankly wasn't all that good either. He didn't tell her a whole lot so its not like she can tell them much in the way of secrets either. Most of what she has is still speculations at best.
