To be fair, we don't know how long the hitman and that girl knew eachother. Hence why he may also not have had any suspicious memories of her, but only trust.
Maybe that's why he said "he must've genuinely loved her"
(small reminder: he would've gotten killed by her originally aswell.)
I think that alone shows how one of the main problems isn't that he absorbs the abilities of the people, but since he does the same with their their memories, some of their tendencies and feelings may transfer aswell (which is maybe why he got so emotionally invested some of the times.) i feel like this theory also kind of proves itself a little later on, (this isn't really a spoiler since it's just my op lol) so i think that must be why.
And another thing - this may be a cultural difference but since this is korean prison; in other kdramas they have portrayed the strong hierarchy/ comradery in the korean prison alot, so that means: having someone by your side/ taking your side (and this guy may have been there for the whole two years, kissing up to him) calling him hyung/looking up to him, must have made him trust him... (hinting at the emotional investment again) considering mc wasn't even a criminal to begin with, it may have made him a little more gullible? Idk... ANYWAYS i absolutely loved this kdrama and i hope you'll pay attention to the fact that each of these characters or / temporary mc's, had to lay on a INCREDIBLE acting performance to pull off acting as someone while still keeping characteristics of the original mc!
That's beyond impressive π€
You should also listen to the outro/OST of this kdrama since the mc actually sings it! π₯

Yeah, he keeps the skills and knowledge of each life.
The saw will shoot out if the bolt holding it in place is loosened or removed.
Sebastine, I agree with you that he is a flawed character. Definitely has a lot of growth ahead in his character arc!
Death speaks about the who would his Mom want to kill? I think she means who can the Mom blame for the loss of her son. Those left behind when someone un-alives themselves tend to blame themselves for not seeing the signs or being there to help.
He seems self focused. I think he needs to start putting himself in other's shoes. But that's just an opinion π

This man has no situational awareness. Does he get to keep the skills of each life because if he does he is really messing up but it explains why he lived through woodshop. Him coming back as a baby worries me. Aren't all of these live about to die soon and his deaths are to be painful? Does ep 4 have a trigger alert? Just wondering if dude even aggravated you, Death is really going to play with him.
