Hi! When is the next upload?

As far as tarot cards or runes or other fortune-telling instruments are concerned, I view them as an avenue to allow me to examine my current life situation through a different perspective. I don't think they tell us what will happen or what decisions we should make. I use them to examine all avenues of the decision I'm trying to make and decide what's best from there. Even as a pagan, I don't believe in magic in a literal sense.

I know it gets confused often, but a pentacle, or a 5 point star in a circle, is a symbol of paganism and symbolizes life and the connection between all aspects of it. An inverted pentacle is a symbol of Baphomet, who is historically associated with the occult, but in modern settings, is most commonly associated with the Temple of Satan, which, contrary to its name, has absolutely nothing to do with devil worship. I pulled the mission statement and a little background info from The Temple of Satan website for you here. :) "The Mission Of The Satanic Temple Is To Encourage Benevolence And Empathy, Reject Tyrannical Authority, Advocate Practical Common Sense, Oppose Injustice, And Undertake Noble Pursuits. "We have publicly confronted hate groups, fought for the abolition of corporal punishment in public schools, applied for equal representation when religious installations are placed on public property, provided religious exemption and legal protection against laws that unscientifically restrict people's reproductive autonomy, exposed harmful pseudo-scientific practitioners in mental health care, organized clubs alongside other religious after-school clubs in schools besieged by proselytizing organizations, and engaged in other advocacy in accordance with our tenets. There are Seven FUNDAMENTAL TENETS I One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason. II The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions. III One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone. IV The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own. V Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs. VI People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused. VII Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word." If I were to sum up the concept of The Temple of Satan, I would say that their ultimate goal for their members is to be a good person, advocate for the wellbeing of others, and fight for absolute religious freedom of all people. I am both pagan, and a member of The Temple of Satan (I became a member after Roe vs Wade was overturned because The Temple of Satan provides constitutional religious exemption from laws banning abortion. I got married and live in Korea, but if my husband and I ever move states-side, I want to have the right to end a pregnancy that WILL risk my life, as any pregnancy I might carry would automatically be high-risk due to medical conditions.....but the US government doesn't care about that.) So yes, Seb, you're right about what that is, but the negative connotations to it stem from misplaced fear from the Christian church. Misplaced fear is what lead to the crusades wiping out much of my ancestors' culture and beliefs via the Crusades.
