2023-09-24 14:44:09 +0000 UTCFrom what I've seen, I don't think groups with numbers in thier name have a shorter life span (at least not more than groups who don't contain numbers). I think it may seem that way because temporary groups formed from mass survival shows do tend to like to have numbers in their name, especially "1"since it signifies them coming together as one and them being on top. There are a lot of groups who have numbers in their name that have lasted at least through their initial contract period or longer like Got7. Seventeen, 2PM, Up10tion, 4minute, 2ne1, 100%, SF9, etc. Though that being said, I personally am not a huge fan of group names where they put the number of members in the name because if members leave the group at one point or another, it kinda gets complicated having to explain why the number is there. Like Day6 was only 6 members at debut because a member left shortly after. 9muses, though they had a graduation concept where members were added when others leave, I don't think the group had 9 members most of the time they were actively promoting. Anyways, that doesn't prevent me from stanning a group though. Because as long as a group can draw me in some how, I can overlook a questionable name and learn to love it :)
