Are you Korean? Only asking because I’m learning at the moment and that’s opposite of how I learned to pronounce 서 and 회택 and I thought he romanized his name to Hui to avoid it being pronounced like Ho. Just genuinely curious.

2023-08-20 22:34:05 +0000 UTCEnjoyed your reaction :) Just fyi though, Hui's name Lee Hoe-taek is pronounced like e (literally like the letter "e", the L is silent) Hoe (like in the word hose) taek (like tag) And if there's a "eo" in someone's name, like in Seo Won, it's mostly pronounced like the "aw" sound in law.
