I def agree with the ways that the performances are formatted regarding live audience vs. covid era but I think the mixed gens are an interesting point!

2023-05-20 09:15:34 +0000 UTCthe worst thing about kingdom for me is the lineup, and I dont meant that in the way of the artists being bad, i personally adored all of the groups performances. What I mean by that is the pds should've stuck to a generation because 4th gen artists (skz, tbz, ateez) are more focused on adding concept and effects which make their performances seem bigger and make you excited. While 3rd gen (ikon, sf9, btob) are more focused on keeping the attention on the artists voices and interactions with the audience (esp. btob and ikon) which is what makes their performances more emotional (most of the time not all the time) so i think there wasn't an even playing ground. 4th gen is used to performing under covid restrictions which is why they're more flashy with effects and 3rd gen is more used to performing with an audience to interact with. They should've stuck to one generation per season. That being said, all the groups that participated did extremely well and should be proud of their impact on kpop.
