Server Update about Viewing Early Access
Added 2024-07-06 22:10:53 +0000 UTCUp until now, my policy on who can view early access art in the supporter Discord server has been like a “legacy supporter” system, so if you ever supported me, even for just one month, you could still view everything in the Discord server.
However, I have been considering changing my stance lately. For the past few weeks, I’ve seen about 5 pauses or cancelations of subscriptions each week, and only 1 or 2 new supporters per week at most. I think a lot of people who would support me have stopped their subscriptions for likely understandable reasons, but then they don’t have an incentive to start supporting me again, because they still have access to the Discord.
Also, it doesn’t seem fair to the people who are still supporting me each month to get the same level of access as someone who isn’t actively supporting me.
I hope everyone can understand that I won’t be doing the legacy supporter system anymore. Everyone can still stay in the server, but visibility for the early access content will be restricted.
I’ve made the changes to the server already. Anyone without an active subscription to me on Patreon or Subscribestar won’t be able to see most of the stuff here on the server. Reminder that your Discord account needs to be connected to your Patreon or Substar account for the bot to give you access to the private server channels. If anyone wants to support me again to keep their access in the server, they can restart their subscription any time.
If you are in the server because I gave you a direct invite and not because you were automatically added by the bots, please link your Discord to your Patreon or Subscribestar account so the bot can give you permissions to view the channels (if you want to mainly view my content through Discord). Otherwise, I would need to manually update everyone’s roles, and that would be too much work.
