I added the text drawing & layout
Wobbling and squishing. I had to be crafty getting the "is hovering part of body" data from the GPU in a non-framerate-reducing way because synchronous operations can hurt it (Goopier tech goop: I used a ringbuffer of 4 PBOs so readback is deferred by that many frames.)
(￣u￣) Next is easy:
Add scrolling
Add basic click interactions, then dropdowns
Sound
Add images from feeder dreams to the layout
Draw debug hierarchy and text
♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪ And beyond:
Portals (could be complicated code but worth it)
Put the new painted non-3d character art in, clean it up a bit
Then I'll release v7! It is a fun way to play, without internet, and you will keep 🐤forever! The web version at fatknyght.com (premium) and itch.io (public) will stay up to date as they're nice on non-windows and mobile devices.
After that I'll focus on content to make up for the time making this drm-free windows version, and I'm keeping my eye open for artists to commission & collaborate with, to deliver the best game 'v'
