With the alpha now released, my big picture plans are:
Main quest line
Fill in the scaffolding that was laid in alpha (including smaller picture stuff below)
A writing tool that lets scenes be data instead of code. Maybe this opens the way for player mods later, if there's a ton of interest. I tend to err away from player mods because usually the shortage that the project creator fills is that they're willing to put the time into making something good. But if it becomes the goal, I ought to set it up for success,
Some cool things I could work hard on if I divert from merely fleshing out the game, and maybe you'll have some thoughts and opinions that I'd be happy to hear out:
Multiplayer chat/RP feature. Set a nickname, hang out with other players in a tavern (your characters visible to each other), have private chats. Click a little flag on chat messages to report+block at any time. You'll be able to feed and be fed. I'll make my own server in C++, and may as well host the game off of Itch as well.
A streamlined character editor for bringing your OCs to life (note: You do need to smartly split your drawing into pieces, then draw alternative facing direction and bone attachment/jiggle textures according to a helpful guide I'd make. It takes me like 12 hours per character with experience. So maybe this isn't something people would want too badly...?) Player mods can be done with this editor and a writing editor.
Offline version. I could make a performant C++ backend for the game that replaces the browser with OpenGL.
Here's smaller picture stuff-- these are things I think about and notes I make, and not all guaranteed. Most of them are things I really want to do though:
Set character breathing speed per scene
Make the vibrating butt plug vibrate
Color dialogue per character.
Write queuing handler that deals with immobile players. To queue actions after your "immobility handling dialogue"
Atmospheric inflation with air/helium
Use cubic feet instead of gallons, because it's dependent on material. Migrate with a save version and general conversion ratio. Early characters are based on my idea of the size of gallon jugs. Lyna/Alethia/FoxThin are based on helium balloons.
Auto-layout of characters in addition to manual. Better camera and maybe manual like BDCF? Never liked their manual camera because they did a good job on automatic.
Fix FoxThicc model
Give model pieces a "wobble profile" which is either full jiggle + mouse poke, or just mouse poke. Good for hair and cloth and big parts, where the whole thing doesn't move around.
Sundial
Let players toggle genitals of NPCs in-game as they meet them. Change their weightgain shape
Have rai comment on your butt toys
Have rai come to you when immobile if she's not, and she'll cast a spell to transfer your fat to her, and she gains about 10% of your fat permanently (rest goes in belly I guess).
Require player to pay at inn to "wait" (sleep) more than 24 hours at a time.
Have alethia visit you in dreams and stuff. She's too good of a character
/Italics/
Make Lyna's feeding scenes feature an actual feeding dildo prop that you stuff in their mouths. Allow freedom to stuff it in the player and in Lyna. Make the options on the screen change based on whose mouth it's in
Multiple random per-part descriptoins. Not just "thin" each time or "jiggling". Variance
Milking tube sex toys. Play with dick to release cum. Play with boobs to release milk. Make erections.
Have cum in your body go into your balls.
Write journal hints later. Dont be vague, tell them how to do it.
When you have multiple toys in your butt, they should only push each other's angles if they are at least 10% inserted or something. Right now they always do.
Asset packing. Itchio didn't like that i have over 1,000 files. I crunched it down to 600 images by combining metadata files into one, but that only bought me time and the ability to release the alpha. It won't be as fun for characters to not load piece by piece, but it will speed loading up. I can even make low res previews?
Format scenes in text not code? ((if player has balls:Like this.)) ((action "You can't do that!"$Mansion$Top of palace$You can't do that scene)) New scene here. ...Additional code for scenes is usually an exception.
Add more flavor descriptions for when the player looks at themselves
Toys that can go in different characters and holes.
I crunched pretty hard, I'll probably take it a bit easier and possibly even work reasonable hours-- I just love to work.
