Hello there! Before I get into the details of the release, a very quick update on what I’ve been up to behind the scenes.

Thanks to your incredible support I have been able to make some improvements to my hardware and software tools. I am SO grateful to each and every one of you.

Part of my upgrade included getting my hands on some premium virtual instrument libraries - it has been a dream of mine to have access to these kinds of composition tools since I was 16 years old (I won't give away how long ago that was, but let’s just say a long time!). So, whilst it sounds incredibly cheesy, it’s the truth - you have made my dreams come true!

So, moving on to the release, I decided to put my new toys to use by tackling the much loved ‘Bardic Inspiration’ class feature and beautiful JB2A animation.

Included you will find 3 versions of a ‘magical’ layer, each with 3 pitch variations, 4 melodic instruments each with 7 chord variations for 3 different key signatures and a percussive instrument with 7 rhythmic patterns, for a total of 100 new assets.

The new ‘Bardic Inspiration’ D&D5e preset (available on my Discord) combines the layers with all instruments, allowing for 819 individual variations!

To customise your bard for a specific instrument you can edit the Args inside Automated Animations:

Look for ‘psfxInstrument’ and you will see ‘psfx.musical-instruments’ entered by default. This will randomise across all currently added instruments when Bardic Inspiration is triggered. Or, if you want to customise your character to play a specific instrument, add one of the following to the end of ‘psfx.musical-instruments’:

.lute (as shown in the example)

.violin

.flute

.drum
