Does this suggest that console manufacturers need to be more aggressive in how they price new consoles to maximise the profits they can make from FOMO-addled early adopters? We're already back to $699 consoles with the PS5 PRO, could we see a $1000 console next generation?

Will AAA studios be able to weather this storm, will we see a decline in Indies? It may be possible that things become so expensive that gaming is a luxury that few choose to afford.
