Mario & Luigi: Brothership | Fully Ramblomatic

Sadly the M&L games lost their touch since the appropriately named Dream Team game that put me to sleep. Sucks to hear that Alpha Dream died doing remakes on 3DS... only so that "Acquire" (what kinda name??) took the series by the reigns and proceeded with the same issues. Blows my mind especially when it's a new studio doing the series now... you'd think they would've learned from the previous one crashing and burning, but apparently not. At least, that's how I feel. I confirmed after recently playing through Superstar Saga. I was cautiously thinking it was my nostalgia blinding me to the quality of the series... but I still finished that game from beginning to end and was entertained through the majority of it. Well written original villains (Fawful particularly) helps for sure, but also the gameplay is a lot better compared to the newer entries; the majority of bros attacks in that game are way shorter and just as effective. From what I remember, I liked Partners in Time too; this is when the Bros attacks start getting more laborious, but the plot was entertaining and well paced at least. Bowser's in Time was good too for similar reasons. Yet every time I've tried playing Dream Team again, I stop. Almost always after the plot runs out of ideas and you start retreading previously visited areas again. I tried Paper Jam too but similarly, it tired me out.

Really Enjoyed the meta critic gag at the end 👌

For the FR Blu-ray, how much would we have to fork over to get a commentary track where Yahtzee just riffs for 4 hours over the vids?
