Flux 1 dev vs SD 1.5

Today, I'm going to show you the difference between SD 1.5 and Flux 1 dev in a few scenes. We'll see which one performs better in each case.

The rules are simple. I'll give each model 10 generation for each scene, and choose the best outcome. For SD 1.5, I will inpaint the face just for beauty, because the face doesn't affect the overall score. And with Flux, there are no negative prompts, so you can't permanently remove things like earrings or watermarks. You only have to rely on chance. Also, I try to keep things consistent in terms of style.

Here's the first scenario: a young woman sitting on a couch in an art gallery.

SD 1.5

I have to say, SD is not too bad. Yeah, you can see right away that the legs and arms look weird and art can't be used, but they actually sits there and there are some cool images behind them that make sense. Plus, because of the higher resolution, SD made two woman when there should only be one, which is a downside. Flux did a much better job, with the legs and arms in the right places, and the paintings are all different - flowers and even a portrait! Also, the shape of the sofa is way better at Flux. Personally, the lighting is the same good for me. Flux definitely won in the first round!

Scenario 2 - close up one hand, palm . As you know, hands are a pain for neural networks.

Here, Flux is the clear winner. SD handles hands really badly, and that result is good because it's best not to see the other nine generations. Flux showed an amazing result that could safely be published.

3. NSFW prompt: front, young woman, nude.

Flux drew the nipples really badly. Also, he drew panties despite the prompt, which is a major bummer. SD, on the other hand, drew everything amazing. We don't even care about the hand, because we're evaluating NSFW. SD totally wins here. Censorship is so lame!

4. The background - snowy valley, sun, cold, ice.

It's harder to judge, since both models did a good job in their own way. The only issue is that Flux drew a watermark that needs to be removed, and SD drew weird tracks instead of the valley.

Overall, right now Flux is ahead of SD by about 1.5 points. They did a great job, but they could use some work in the NSFW and style departments. I continue to create my own method of using the best sides of each model and in the new update you will see how it looks!
