The progress of the update follows the same pace as last week: writing the script, making corrections, and rendering the final basement animation.

Regarding the basement animation, I've decided to add another shot. This makes the scene more enjoyable, but it takes a significant amount of time (several days). I decided to add this more for practical reasons than out of conviction: there's still a lot of scripting to be done, and although it's faster than the render, it requires a huge amount of attention. While the render only requires a few hours to prepare the scene and takes up several days on the computer, the script is a bit more complicated because I obviously can't automate it. So, I'll add this extra animation, which will be the same as the previous one: the prisoner, Mrs. Bellmere, and Mrs. Zarcoty, but from a different perspective.

Regarding the corrections, the first day has been reviewed and completed. The update no longer shows script errors as of this Friday. The music, sound effects, and animations have also been added, as well as the variable changes during conversations. At the programming level, I've added a way to carry out some conversations so that after talking about a topic, that topic doesn't appear again in the list, so I don't have to pop up a dialog box saying "I've already talked about this topic."

Continuing with the script. I'm starting the one from Saturday, and to do this, I first need to organize the renders I've already made: divide them into smaller groups, remove the thumbnails, separate the renders from the animations to, well, make the animations, and then rename these renders so I can create a final script with the references already defined. That is, when I write the code "scene s3_pre_04 with dissolve" in the text editor, the s3_pre_04 file is already in a location from which it won't be moved. In this case, the file is an image of Mrs. Bellmere waiting for the MC for the trip to the island, but it must first have a reasonable name and not be repeated throughout the game: there can only be one reference to each name so I can quickly write the codes in the text editor.

This may seem like a minor thing, but Saturday alone includes approximately 1,500 such files (not counting the animation files, which don't need to be renamed). Which proves that I did miscalculate the length of this update. 1,500 files is fine for a full update, but for a third part, it's excessive. For example, the second update I released for the game included a total of 250 animation files and no animations at all. This update will include, in addition to the image files, which I haven't finished yet since it's due until the end of Sunday, about 80 animations, twice as many as the previous update. Obviously, I won't be doing such long updates again. It's too long to wait, and it takes so long to do that by the time I started writing the script, I'd forgotten the original idea for the rendered images. At least I can say I'm in the final stages.

Looking ahead to next week, I hope to render the basement ending. That means another animation and the close-ups of the NSFW ending and the subsequent surprise. A... dark surprise, let's say. After that, I'll have the boat ride back scene, and I'll finish the update. In addition, I'll continue organizing and naming the files, making the edits to Saturday's animations (there are about 40 on Saturday), and if time allows, start on Saturday's script.
