The movie slowly shifted from "Let's go defeat the Empire!" to "Will we get away to fight another day?" On longer comics like this, I would suggest inserting at least a glimmer of hope on your cliffhangers. That way, even if you crush those hopes, you still have people rooting for the other character. That said what if Paige were to come on to Brooke and convince her using "methods" to either take the serum or keep her around?
