I feel like even if viserys finds out they’re dragon riders why would that be punishable in his eyes? The Targaryens strongly believe the dragon chooses the rider not the other way around. I get the political ramifications of the situation other Targaryen/valyrian bastards might try to bond with one. I just feel like viserys wouldn’t be too mad about Jon and dany having vermithor and silverwing as much as people might think, especially if they swear loyalty to them.

Even if it's proven that Dany and Jon claimed the dragons, all they have to do is say they are loyal subjects to the crown, swear their fealty to Rhaenyra and that would satisfy Viserys, Rhaenyra and the Velaryons. Powerful allies, even if the Hightowers and Deamon would object.

Alicent is clearly thinking that it was Laenor with this thought, 'His son, who just happened to have the strongest motive for wanting Criston dead. How terribly worrying for Lord Corlys.' But the thing is, there isn't much Viserys can do against Laenor, even Viserys knows that Laenor most likely killed Coles, but Laenor is Rhaenyra's betrothal, and Laenor's parents are Corlys and Rhaenys. So in Viserys's mind, Cole is less important than his alliance with the Velayrons.

2025-08-29 21:28:33 +0000 UTCI do find it very odd that no one at least considers Laenor for Coles death particularly because cole did kill his lover so he has more of a reason to kill Cole than anyone else. also Otto needs to get Allicent under control before she screws up everything he has worked for
