Boy, this piece took a while! It's set in a specific underground train station in Japan and at the time I started this I was tinkering with 3D background modeling, and I decided I would save time by doing that instead of trying to faithfully recreate it in 2D. Sadly, lighting it proved tricky, and making the lighting of the BG mesh with the character was even more challenging. In the end I went with a more stylized approach that made it blend in better.
As a side note, it feels weird to draw angry characters. I think I subconsciously try to get into the characters' mindset too much and when they're not jolly it feels strange to draw them. ;w;
