Almost There (Update)

Phwew- It's been a while since I've written one of these! I just want to catch everyone up with where I'm at!

I'm okay, firstly- All things considered! The world is a mess, but I'm still trying to get as much as I can done in the meantime. I haven't been posting here the last few weeks and I'm feeling real bad about that! I've been juggling like a real clown lately. Doesn't help that the days feel like mere minutes- is June already almost over? WHAT HAPPENED. Anyway, here's what I've been up to:

Commissions! I got myself BURIED in them right after I moved to LA last summer- I was booking 2 to 3 months in advance because at first the massive hike in rent really threw me for a loop and I didn't want to fall behind on bills- which I realize is solely my own problem, but it has been a big task for me- completing all my orders amidst the chaos of planet Earth. That's definitely been my full time gig all year. The good news is, things have gotten much better. Been selling a lot more physical merch, which has helped relive me of needing to take as many commissions. I have a few weeks of orders left in my queue and then IM FREE. It's been a LONG time coming- because I was always back to back with commissions, but now I can finally stay afloat without nearly as many. What does this mean? IT MEANS FINALLY GETTING BACK TO PERSONAL PROJECTS. Holy hell, it's about time. I've been chomping at the bit to get back to more redraws for my book, a new sketchbook, and Event Sky! I also have a list of fan art pieces I'd like to do. There's so much to get to and I'm so stoked to be on the cusp of being able to dive back into all of that stuff real soon.

I'm absurdly grateful for everyone's patience with me- my life has been a wild wild wild ride since 2018 and yet you've stuck around and kept me going, through all the burn outs and breakdowns- it's beyond meaningful to have a little family here. You guys get that life certainly does happen, thank you for not faulting me with that and seeing me as a human person thing! :P  I'm at a place now where I can actually see the light. We're almost home free from the chains that bind me, haha! Focusing almost solely on personal work is so close I can taste it- July is going to be a great month! Count on it!  

The Discord has been especially perfect, having a group of friends to chat with makes my lonesome work days much brighter- and I love getting to know all of you. So thank you for being there! 

Aside from that- I've been trying to think of ways to help make the world 1% less sh*tty- so I ran a few donation collections for a few causes on Twitter/IG and am looking for others I could go for next- I'd like to make that a regular thing. So that's kept my attention just a little bit, I apologize D;

So yea, to summarize, my mental health is better than it's been in years, I'm stable, and I'm almost caught up on work. So yea, life is pretty good in that regard. I just like to be transparent!! I had been a bit quiet lately, so thanks for reading :P

As a 'sorry for being a phantom' gift, I'm sending all of my physical merch Patrons ($10+) an extra print! Not sure which print I'll add in, but expect an additional one this month! Also, sorry for the delay on May packages- I'm packing those up this week and will ship em' off asap. I was waiting on some print deliveries to get in, so I'm behind schedule!

I'll be contacting my portrait only Patrons today as well!

Ok, is that everything...???? I didn't want to ramble too much. Just hadn't touched base with you cool kids for a hot minute.

Anyway, we're living through some grim times and I sincerely hope you're all doing okay and staying safe!
