I do agree that trigger warnings should be higher or capitalized and bolded or something but otherwise great job. We all interpret things differently based on our experiences - Reading, IRL, and films/tv etc. You are amazing! Thank you for thinking of your readers and writing your intent down as well. That sets the scene and if read would have been helpful.

I think in the same vein, people should be allowed their opinion without being jumped all over about it. I’ve read Alyssa’s comments and they’ve been nothing but polite, fair and reasonable. They have not attacked anyone. Alyssa clearly loves the stories and is grateful to the author but like many of us, has an issue with some of the content in this update (which by it’s nature is controversial and triggering). I feel like it’s healthy and productive to have this kind of discussion. I don’t believe that any offence was meant to anyone in raising this issue and none should be taken. The author has clearly understood and addressed it and in doing so has demonstrated, as always, that they care about all of their readers. 💜

i never said the author is promoting that? and i wasn’t calling it rape to begin with. i was saying that other people were implying that it was. and whether you found this triggering or not, other people did, they felt a little uncomfy as did i since onyx said stop multiple times and keane didn’t. and i wasn’t spreading hate to the author as well, i love the author and i love all the stories and AU’s they do. my paragraphs were for the people reading/leaving comments since people got mad sensitive when others found it to be uncomfy.

I get that but jumping straight to calling something rape and accusing the creator of promoting such is a little extreme and hurts the author overall. There definitely could have been a message sent to the author and I think life in itself can be triggering and as a victim of rape myself I think it’s healthy to learn to not expect a trigger free world and to learn to calmly express discomfort without attacking another person.

The trouble with this episode is that consent is a controversial topic. A lot of people only apply consent to the sexual act itself, while others apply it to foreplay. I'm not sure where my opinion lies becaause I've definitely said "no" to both, but I didn't consider either to be rape due to the fact I wasn't particularly forceful in my response. Either way, I like how the episode portrays this topic. Although Keane is forceful in the beginning, by the end, he is asking for proper consent and that made me happy.

We decided to read, to stay, if someone doesn't like it they are free to go!! You can consider our opinions, but try don't feel pressed by them. Finally, the only thing you could do, to consider other people's sensitivity, is adding a noticeable warning, nothing else. At least they will know and read by their own decision. (Honestly, I would like to see an inverted situation now XD of Onyx Jealous by Keane! )

y’all gotta understand that whether it was trynna be “rape” or not, it was still uncomfy for some readers and some readers want warnings for that fragile stuff. it’s the way they interpreted it and if they’re paying money to see these type of stories, it can be unsettling. next time i say just put warnings if someone is going to say stop over and over and somehow that’s supposed to be interpreted as keep going💀✋🏼since it was their “first time” they should’ve had a safe word or something bc it was still uncomfy to read. and ik this isn’t a real book, ik this is an AU and that these characters don’t exist but this is still irl people with irl experiences who have dealt with this stuff or who find this stuff uncomfy so don’t be so quick to bash others for their experiences/opinions✋🏼 moral of the story: just put warnings before bc not everyone on here has the same kinks.

Other than the fact that this is specifically made by someone- who had no intentions of making this something “non-con”- we also see how Onyx himself is teasing Keane so he can go forward and keep doing more things to him. Obviously showing us that he wants to do this. About the “wait Keane- ah, no-“ that’s a very common thing to see in hentai/porn, etc. it isn’t meant to be seen as r*pe or that they genuinely want to stop.
