A brief rant, and an update!

EDIT: I had almost instant regret publishing this rant.  I thought about deleting it, but the feelings are still genuine and real, so I'll keep it in place.  Also, I realize that the people this applies to likely won't read it, or they will read it and ignore it.  I want to recognize that there are a lot of people who have been quietly and steadily supporting me for a long time.  Please know you are extremely appreciated and this by no means applies to you.  I've had some really shitty interactions with people, and writing all this out was really therapeutic, so please forgive the negativity.

Would you like to be added to my "no contact" list?  If so, do any of the following:

-Send me a message with nothing but "hi" or "hello."  It may seem innocent, but it's really not.  If we aren't in regular contact, it's like approaching a stranger on the street while wearing a mask.  I don't know you, and you aren't expressing your intentions.  That instantly puts me on edge.  So don't expect a reply.

-Reaching out repeatedly for no other reason than to ask for an update on X project, when we don't have an established friendship.  I'm not a content mill.

-Making a donation or a tip to me because you appreciate my work (not for a purchase or a commission) and then asking for a refund.

-Passive aggressively angling for free art when we don't have an established friendship.  No, pretending its your birthday or pretending that you've experienced a great personal disaster does not help, and I almost instantly don't believe you. If you actually are going through something difficult, you have my sympathies of course, but using tragedy to manipulate me is a really shitty move.

-Approaching me with an unsolicited message asking whether I'm open for commissions or requests.  I am not currently advertising either, so you can assume the answer is "no."

A great way to engage with me is to reach out with any form of thoughtfulness or kindness.

SO, with that out of the way...

YES I am still active.  The Jocelyn comic will update Saturday.  I will be launching two projects soon called Novilunia, and Celesteria.  

I am continuing to work on Growing of Virtue, but will need some help with the writing.  If you're a writer and you're interested in helping out, let me know!
