A report on my recent situation
Added 2021-08-31 14:13:20 +0000 UTCI have finally completed my annual August task of drawing automotive illustrations for car dealers.
I call it the "One Month Endurance Race".
It was very, very hard work, so much so that I called it that.
Because it was like drawing 28 pieces of box art for a plastic model in a month.
I'm sure I've made Patreon supporters very patient as well.
I can go back to my normal life today.
I'll be resuming my paused commissions, and I'll be finishing the manga I've been stuck on.
Please stay tuned for my September work.
Between you and me, the automotive illustrations that I deliver to the printing company will be reviewed and either revised or given the OK at a later date. After that I will be in the clear and can make my invoices.
Therefore, my income for August was zero yen, and since I also turned down help from Patreon supporters, it really is zero yen. That's how it is to be a commercial illustrator. (TmT)
Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I'm pretty sure I don't have any talent for business.
I'm going to work hard in September so that I can get support money from everyone.
毎年8月の恒例行事であった「カーディーラーのために自動車イラストを描く作業」がようやく完了しました。
私はこれを「一ヶ月耐久レース」と呼んでいます。
私がそう呼ぶくらいに、それはとてもとても辛い作業でした。
だってプラモデルのボックスアートを一ヶ月の間に28枚描いたようなものですから。
私はPatreonサポーターの皆様にも、とても辛抱をさせてしまいましたね。
私は今日から従来の生活に戻ることができます。
一時中断していたコミッションも再開させますし、途中で止まっていた漫画も完結まで描き上げるでしょう。
私の9月の働きに期待していてください。
ここだけの話ですが、印刷会社に納品した自動車イラストは、審査を受けて、後日に修正もしくはOKを言い渡されます。その後に私は晴れて請求書を作ることができます。
したがって8月の収入は０円でした。Patreonのサポーターからの援助も辞退しましたから本当に０円です。商業イラストレーターというものはそんなものなのです。(T_T)
単に私が馬鹿なだけなのかもしれませんが、私にビジネスの才能が皆無なのだけは確かです。
9月はみんなから支援金がもらえるように頑張って働きます。
