My thoughts on commissions [IMPORTANT]
Added 2019-01-11 12:36:26 +0000 UTCI want to be completely transparent with you guys, I mostly feel really bad about doing commissions. A lot of you seem to be really understanding and patient with my work flow and the amount of time I take and generally seem to like the quality but of course as many artists not only do I often question the quality of my work and whether it's good enough to for the money I get but also I'm often scared of generally disappointing everyone when I take too much time, again no one really speaks up when it comes to delays and mostly I get a response like "oh no it's fine don't worry" and I'm really happy if that's actually the case but often I feel like I am not standing up to the expectations of people. Lastly my own art pieces, I don't want to say it's because of commissions that I don't have the time to work on my own stuff but it certainly doesn't help. I am a huger slacker and I'll sometimes maybe try to excuse myself with school work or whatever and I just feel bad afterwards that the commissioners have the bad end because of that. I quite honestly enjoy a lot of commissions I receive and I appreciate the support and the decision to pick me instead of someone else..
BUT all the above is the reason why next month it is the time for me to temporarily draw the line and take a break from commissions and instead devote all my time to my doujin as well as single art pieces! Therefore all commission tier slots are going to be closed (I will close them before the payment day arrives and will make a reminder post to switch tiers in case the determined amount doesn't change and I end up scamming in which case I'll refund the money.)
This of course does not affect this months commissions and I will eventually reopen the slots for commissions when I either need the money or feel more confident in working on commissions.
