Story Post: Good Intentions 5, Chapter 4!

Something I should probably prep some readers for in advance: Good Intentions 5 will have much less of the usual crew ensemble than previous books. As much as I like a big ensemble cast, I wanted to do a book that was more focused on Alex, Rachel, and Lorelei this time around. Most of the crew will still make appearances in some capacity, but things are narrower this time around. Hope that's not too big of a disappointment. The crew will still be around for future stories.
And thus, onward! GI 5 is now at 103,000 words! That means I'm well past the halfway point. Don't ask me how far past, but I'm hopeful! As for this chapter, a few sentences here and there might change from this when I do a full-book revision, but it's pretty solid as-is. I'll have to hunt for a spoilerific-tier post, too, but I wanted to get this one out right away.

Given the mode of transportation, the delivery mission, and Alex's father unknowingly working for vampires, I guess Alex will be waist deep in the big spooky rather soon. 2. Going back to Blood Orca, I realised that Alex probably not only has to cross out any job with steady contacts with kids as a future career, but also everything involving archaeology, palaeontology, or archive work.
