The Recode
Added 2019-09-12 04:45:58 +0000 UTCI've mentioned the possibility a few times, but I've officially made my decision: I'm going to recode the game to use a different Twine format before moving on to Day 3. This will take some time, though I don't know exactly how long, but I think it will be a great benefit to the story moving forward. SugarCube(the format I'm switching to) is much closer to being an actual programming language than Harlowe(the format the game is currently in), and as a result I'll have a lot more freedom behind the scenes. Some things you can look forward to when the work is through:
- The ability to export your saves so you can carry them forward when a new update releases
- Audio (think stomach sounds during vore scenes, not anything too crazy)
- Enhanced layout
- A new, more involved system for vore scenes that gives the player some agency instead of being left wholly at the mercy of RNG
- Some form of difficulty selection, including an easy mode where you can essentially just choose the outcome of any vore scene and a hardcore mode where you're forced to restart from the very beginning if you get digested
I'll also be including a few new scenes in Day 2 that were cut from the initial update with the release of the recoded game. This will probably result in next month being restricted to only one scene getting in from the poll again, unfortunately. In addition, the dev builds will be on a short hiatus. When it's ready, I'll have a demo of the new vore system available for you folks on patreon to test out and give me feedback on in place of a typical dev build, and some time after that we'll return to the usual bi-weekly schedule.

2019-09-23 07:58:26 +0000 UTCGlad you're enjoying it! The plan is for the game to eventually cover your entire freshman year at the school. There'll be timeskips after every week, and it'll end up being ~65 days of gameplay. That's the ideal goal at least

The idea of adding a difficulty selection to the game is a good one in my opinion. I really had to reload a lot to get certain scenes, though they were worth it ;). Got a question though. Any idea on how long/how big the game is going to get? like an end goal or something?
