Weekly Update!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well this morning/afternoon/evening!

I enjoyed putting out the announcement and sharing an update about Spell Weaver and Berserker. I'm thinking of turning these into a weekly or bi-monthly update so you can stay in the loop on how things are going!

Writing Update:

Spell Weaver & Berserker

• I wrote 10 chapters last week! A friend flew in from Australia, which took up some of my time over the weekend, but I still managed to write 7 chapters for Berserker and 3 for Spell Weaver.

• I've got some big shout-outs coming up over the next week or so, and I've really enjoyed listening to and reading those stories.

• We're still holding a high RS spot. It's been a challenge to stay at the top since most of the other stories up there have other works that are pulling in thousands of followers for them, giving them a big boost early on. We caught up and passed many of them, but RS was always meant to be a short-term boost.

Berserker - Writathon

• I'm more than halfway done writing Berserker!

• I'll try to get all the written chapters posted here today or tomorrow in a separate collection. It might get a little confusing if you're just looking at the Patreon homepage, so I suggest sorting by collection once they're uploaded. That way, you can easily focus on either Spell Weaver or Berserker.

Since Berserker is part of the Writathon Challenge (which is to write and post 55,000 words on Royal Road), I'm putting a lot of energy into it this month.

Right now, it's [33,300/55,555] complete, and I plan to write another two or three chapters today since I have the day off!

Moving Forward

I've been thinking about what's next, and after seeing your feedback on the last post, I think I've got a plan! Let me know what you think:

• Finish Berserker by 11/21 (according to my writing calendar).

• Start posting 5 Spell Weaver chapters per week, beginning on 11/25. I'll need to see how sustainable this is long-term, but since I'm writing double that amount for the challenge, I think 5 per week will be manageable.

• See how the 5-per-week schedule works out. This means you'd be finishing Volume 1 on Patreon in just a few weeks. After V1 is done, I'll take a 1-week break. This break will apply across all platforms, including Royal Road so that Patreon stays ahead.

• When Volume 2 starts on Patreon, I'm thinking of increasing the number of chapters available to Patrons to 30 or 40 ahead of Royal Road. This reduces the "safety net" I have, but I think it will be worth it!

Lastly, I just want to say thank you all for being here and supporting my story. I've loved hearing your feedback and thoughts. I definitely want to encourage comments and criticism here—I appreciate all the praise and the fun theory crafting, but you all are the first to see this content! I'm still pretty new at this, so if you notice anything inconsistent or that hasn't been explained well, please feel free to point it out. Just be polite about it, but definitely let me know!

I'm realizing I have softer skin than I thought, and some of the criticisms from RR have hit me pretty hard! Knowing there are people here enjoying the story enough to support me—or even just paying for a month to binge what's here—really helps soften that sting.
