THIS IS SPIKE'S EPISODE AND I AM LIVING FOR ITTTT!!!! This episode made me cry, scream from joy, and also lose my MIND! Holy shit, I am still so blown away by how amazing this episode is... like... very bold of me to say, but dare I say one of my favorites so far for this show?? LIKE HOLYYY, I just keep thinking about it, and I love it more and more..
But dang, was this episode an emotional ride 😭😭 Who is cutting the onions??? WHO'S DOING IT?!

This is the one. This is the episode when spike stops chipping away at the lore and just takes a huge sledgehammer and start smashing down at it. The truth about Spike as a character is that, after the first few episodes he was in, after he took out the anointed one, his entire existence should be credited to one thing and one thing alone: fan service. The only reason he’s on the show at all, the only reason he didn’t die three or four episodes into his existence on the show, his fan service. Joss wanted to kill him, he was never meant to stick around, but the fans loved him mostly, in my opinion, due to the amazing work of James Marsters. But from this point on, as a character, Spike truly begins to dismantle the lore of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe. I’m almost afraid past this point. Each time I watch a new reactor go through this I become nervous. I just hope you can remember how truly toxic, and literally inhuman he is.
