Comic project for CCXP24 - Planning and prepping

Hi, everyone! Following the results of the poll I ran to see your interest in seeing the process of a comic I'm releasing later this year, here's the first run down on what's already done and the next steps of the project to give you a little insight of how my process works.

I decided to make all SFW posts accessible to free members since I've been looking into a way of utilizing more of Patreon's features to their fullest and having content for both audiences. Paid members, you won't be losing anything with this! You'll have access to both posts, being the NSFW content exclusive for your enjoyment. Everything SFW here will be extra, so don't worry about these posts being substitutes for the usual content, they won't get in the way of our spicy schedule. 😆

Anyway, let's start by presenting the characters!

Rose (on the left) is a demon looking for a human to seal a contract with. Living in other planes of existence can suck sometimes in this universe, so this is why demons are always looking for ways to persuade people to make deals with them. Olga (on the right) is an unlucky human who just got murdered by a coworker, but at least she was lucky enough to have this happen at the right time and place.

This comic is going to work as a sort of chapter zero/prologue thing, showing how those two met and sealed a contract together to save Olga's life in exchange for a wish from Rose. I'm going to keep this part a little secret for now, you'll see as soon as I finish the pages.

Since Rose and Olga were old ocs of mine that already had lore, the first thing I did was write this outline. Then I started redesigning them to update them a little bit while writing outlines for each of the pages. Deciding what's going to happen makes it easier for me to visualize the storyboard and script, two things I like to do at the same time because I'm a visual person and can get stuck with writing only very easily lol

After getting the storyboard done, it was time to plan the layout of each page and add all the speech bubbles. It's always best to do these before heading to the sketches for me, or else I'll get funky compositions and dialogue getting in the way of the drawings.

Now I'm going to start the sketching phase! This is going to be a B&W comic, I need to finish it until the first week of November so not having colors was the best choice 🥴

I hope you enjoy seeing how things are going so far with this project! Gladly I learned a lot with the NSFW comics I made for the paid members, so I feel pretty confident about finishing this one in time for the convention.
