There has been a very fundamental development in the texture pack. Now, you can't play Optimum Realism without using Connected Textures. [These are Included in Optifine but need to be downloaded separately for non-Optifine users; more details are here.]

Optimum Realism has always profoundly used the CTM mod; hence, it has always been a requirement. However many people have been playing it without this mod, especially since the fall of Optifine, which means that most people now need to manually download this mod. I want to make people aware that a certain mod is required for many blocks in the game to function, and as a result, I had no other choice than to backlash support for players who purposely play without CTM on Optimum Realism, which is a very rare use case. Unfortunately, now you'll have a disclaimer on the grass and dirt blocks prompting you to use the CTM mod in order to use Optimum Realism. This is so that the majority of players unaware can be made certainly aware that there are mods that are not downloaded.

Now coming to what's been added, it's a lot.

In summary:-

Almost all tools are added, including the trident and clock. The clock is actually a real working clock, unlike the Minecraft day/night clock. This roughly correlated daytime and nighttime to real lifetime. Of course, the accuracy of this depends from region to region. All minecraft:boats were added as well.

In addition to these, several nature-oriented blocks like the vines, tulips, and packed ice were also added. I'm happy to say that at this stage, it's a very serene experience and with so many new blocks updated and added, you will have a seamless experience for every time your heart will desire.

There have been no new updates to the addons, and no should not need as of now - You can continue using the older versions, but for simplicity, I've still added them with this release's download as well.

As for progress on Bedrock, at the moment I'm trying to add more blocks - and then after a couple more releases dedicate an entire timeframe for the Bedrock pack, this will help me remain in flow and also make my work much more easier instead of meticulously modifying the texture pack files and compromising its integrity as I also constantly update existing blocks, this will result in a much more polished and dedicated streamline version for Bedrock RTX. I'll be updating the version name for Bedrock nevertheless, you can download them from the older R.2.7.0 post and it shouldn't matter really for now.
