2025-06-02 06:39:48 +0000 UTCWow. First time commenting as I've been reading through this massive behemoth of a fantastic story for the past week. Maybe even the past two weeks. Haven't read so diligently since reading Wheel of Time. I've read a lot of books. I've read a lot of fanfiction. And I have to say, I honestly think that this is the singular best piece of fanfiction I've ever read within what I would define as the adventure harem category. It might even be my all time favorite fanfic I've ever read. It's certainly up there. Some have better pacing, some have better prose, some have better characterization, but none have a better fun factor and in the end that's the most important. And by no means whatsoever are you lacking on those other factors at all. I'm ashamed to say that initially I read a little bit of this story and dropped it maybe two years ago. I believe I only made it to around the part near the very beginning where Harry goes to save the Greengrass family. The writing in the beginning was certainly more amateurish, but you've grown in leaps and bounds throughout, and more than anything else I would say the fault is on my own arrogance on reading in the beginning because I judged too harshly and unfairly at that. What I had assumed was contrived and too much wish fulfillment was actually the set up to the Merlin/Morgana world element. But more than anything, and more than any other piece of fanfiction I've ever read, I would absolutely rate this story as also the singular most original that I've ever read. There are other adventure harems, not as complex or as well done, but almost all of them fail to inspire the actual adventure in any meaningful way, sticking to the plot as a lifeline for the lack of originality. You took this world and you made it your own. The many original arcs you've written have been excellent. The dual timelines. The Mei-mind arc to fix Cho's father, the vampires, the werewolves. You've had so many that I cannot even bring them all to mind and it would be too long to do so, but I enjoyed them all greatly. You're writing about a world of magic and I'm a stingy person, but the compulsion for me to have an upper tier of your Patreon is so strong you have me believing in real life magic. I've no problem being behind the curve on updates on a lower tier, but it feels criminal for me to support you any less. Greatly looking forward to your future updates π
