Two Minds, One Wand - Chapter Seventy Six

Hey guys, here's this week's chapter. It's a big 12k chapter with a little Voldie, some Cho and some interesting turns at Hogwarts.

This week, I learned that glamours are an entirely fan-based concept, with no basis in canon. Who knew? Not me! Did you know? It's interesting, what gets merged into the universe just based on pure 'well, that makes sense as something that would exist'.

What else do people think is canon but isn't? Let me know if you can think of anything.

Some Tonks and Tracey art coming soon, sorry for the delay.

Cheers, Rob.

I didn't know that about Ancient Runes - that is interesting! I'm surprised that runes weren't rolled into the very vague canon description of wards, it feels like an obvious connection.

Looks like Cho got a little more than she can handle. Hopefully she sticks with it and this didn't scare her off. I'm glad Daphne finally got a slow tender night even with all the problems she has caused.

Oh man, there's so much that's not canon, and now you've gotten me started :) Everything about 'wards' are fanon. They're just called 'protective enchantments'. The class 'Study of Ancient Runes' is, by all evidence a languages class, not a spellcasting class. Arithmancy by all evidence is the magic of numbers, not the mathematics of magic. That is, they study the properties of numbers and use that to divine information about the world.

Ginny, honey, you can’t get Harry via dark magic! Show you’re powerful, yes, but if you want Lady Potter, you can’t be showing off with dark magic! House Potter is typically light oriented, neutral at its most conservative. A dark witch as a wife is it going to go over well with the more progressive agenda, since that is the main reason he put Daphne as Lady Black. In my opinion, Susan or Cho is needed for Lady Potter. Cho demonstrates the more progressive ideals better by showing that a noble house like Harry’s is fine marrying into a non-British family. If Harry marries her, he opens doors for the non-traditional Pureblood families to enter into a new level of society. This is of course going off with the Pureblood society views and culture as you have portrayed it. I love Susan and think she has the heart and soul needed for Lady Potter, but there is another way for her to get a ring on her finger from Harry. As the sole heir to House Bones, she can offer Harry a third house and the lordship of that house. Susan will be Lady Bones, but by marrying her Harry can become Lord Potter-Black-Bones.
