Two Minds, One Wand - Chapter Fifty Five

In this chapter, we have some action and some light canon-pulling from the Fantastic Beasts movies. I wonder how many of you have seen all three? They vary in quality substantially, and they all have the same issues I have with the later Harry Potter movies - a color palette too dark and the wonders of magic reduced to gunfire wand-pointing, but they still have some pretty interesting things going on, here and there. And young Dumbledore is fun to see.
It was a fun arc to write, but I'm glad to be done with it. Next chap, we'll return now to see what's going on in the wider world with Fleur, Voldie, Alice, Dumbledore, Bellatrix and all, while Harry's been busy.
Not to mention the court of Veela, who look so lovely on the surface...

Aww, Harry, no!! Don't do that. That is something Tom would do. You are not him. I hope Hermione can slap some sense into him. That animal is pure and sacred. You can still prove yourself worthy of the Qulin. That duel was brilliantly done. Reminded me of a bit of Dr. Strange. I have indeed seen all three Fantastic Beasts movies. I liked the first one a lot and I wish they had kept it like that. Having Newt travel the world, learning about different cultures and animals would have been great. Yeah, I truly did not care for the movie magic. It lacked...magic. Just small beams of light, all looking the exact same. Took out all the mystique and intrigue. Their duels were very boring. Is Hermione Harry's safe? His love for her? Or did he hide his safe inside her since they are connected? As a bid Harmony shipper, that makes me happy. :) I don't think Harry should have told Tom that, and I hope it does not come back to bite him like a snake in the grass, but then again, Tommy doesn't understand love at all; and it is exactly that love that should prevent Harry from sacrificing a Qilin. Nobody who loves that deeply should be capable of that. It is one thing to slaughter a fake one in a mindscape and another thing entirely to do it for real.
