New Goddess

She cracked the glowing gemstone in her hand and almost instantly started to grow. Seconds later, she exploded out of her apartment building to the screams of people below. She decided to stop growing when she was taller than most of the buildings around, imposing, but still small enough to have fun with the mortals. "This city is mine now." She proclaimed, and really, who was to dispute her. She strolled down the street in a casual display of power. Her feet filled several lanes of the wide avenue, pulverizing anything beneath them just by walking. People scattered under her shadow, but few made it out. Adelina reveled in the power, the people squishing underfoot, and the buildings small enough to sit on. That was exactly what she did. She made an effort to land her generous rear directly on top of the two people on the roof. It fell like a meteor, splattering one and pinning the other, who was caught just before getting out. She shifted her weight, making sure they were properly squished. "This throne isn't quite to my liking. You'll need to work on that." she demanded of no one and everyone. Adelina began to swing her legs across the avenue in front of her. Her azure toes dragged across the street, leaving a bloody smear behind them.
