Demlin 02 - Towers to Infinity

How many good workers fell just to help these towers rise?

Hello all, and welcome back to Demlin! This is our second release for the corporate heart of Svarnahelm. If you missed yesterday's post—we believe a few of you may have not been notified—you can check it out here!

Also, if the images in this post look off... well, we don't know what to say! Patreon is actively destroying their UI in new and fascinating ways every single day. What a time to be alive! Anyway, let's dive in!

Borough Guide

Our second borough guide is all about the Merkfur Group, the megacorp responsible for constructing Svarnahelm's massive towers as well as the city's fundamental infrastructure. While it's foundational work for the city, there are also plenty of magical shenanigans going on behind closed doors, however. The company's archon seems benevolent, but he leads a cadre of bound demons, and a trail of violence follows in his wake. This document also overviews Rokter Tower, the tallest building in Svarnahelm. Within, there are penthouses, offices, and at least one HQ for a cabal of dangerous mages.

Maps

Our primary map today features Rokter Tower and a portion of Liberation Boulevard. This is truly the heart of Svarnahelm commerce, with throngs of businesspeople passing through every minute. We're releasing a bunch of variant maps for Demlin, including Sunset, Misty, Rainy, Snowy, Desert, and Skyport. This release and others featuring the district's central boulevard also include a Traffic Jam variant.

Our interior maps today are for Rokter Tower. For this first batch, we're including 3 floors: the atrium, the Merkfur Group offices, and the Igrim Toth (that is: mage's guild) headquarters. We'll return to this building to present additional interiors periodically, so stay tuned as we make Rokter Tower even fuller!

Music

Archon of the People is as inscrutable as the Merkfur Group's enigmatic leader. There are hints of majesty and charm, but also an undercurrent of something ambiguously nefarious. This is great conversation music for Svarnahelm. Throw it on when you need to keep the mood a bit cryptic during a chat with NPCs or exploration of interior spaces. Our Chief Courier tier patrons also get access to a solo piano variant.
