Monster Hunter Wilds | Update 6

Written/Voiced: 27:00
Visually Edited: ~11:30
Estimated Length: ~32:00, ~33:00

Hi all,
Last post's estimation of how much visually edited was done was very slightly off, but thankfully I've got a lot done now and I have decided to create a significantly more accurate tally. The amount of visuals done in this video so far is very fast, and with a footage assistant, I can do it a little faster.

I have decided that I am going to add a section to the video that is more of an excuse to dump my variously funny clips to describe the nature of various monsters. This will extend the video by maybe 4 minutes or more. This is also much easier for me to work on, and I will likely be able to get that section done faster (per-minute) than other parts of the video. After that, I need to make the intro, which will be longer than most other intros. I decided to add this part to the video because it will be a thankful change in pace around 3/4 of the way in, and will be able to cool down the pacing a bit and get the viewers ready for the intro. I'm putting it in because I think the effect that it has on pacing is going to make the video overall much more interesting and palatable, on top of just covering everything in the game, period.

The video above is a good example of a slower paced clip-based section of my video. I have done a lot of work with the subtitling and little things here and there to make watching it more engaging, and still keep the pace of a Max0r video. I did have to study other clip-based YouTubers and figure out what was best for my work, and I think this is done very well.

I have a footage assistant now. Their work takes a little while (Not everyone meets the requirements and has a ton of time on their hands!) but they will have work which will make it to the final product. Being optimistic, I think that perhaps 5 or even 6 minutes of their underlying footage might end up in the final product. I hope so. Either way, it is a slight help. The next project should have this sorted out from nearer to the beginning.

Besides the need to finish up the writing for the intro and the environments, the script for the main body of the video is essentially done. I decided today that I'd just add more, but I am very satisfied with it and it's one of my funnier works. It's not as absurd as RDR2, but it's going to lack a lot of the pacing whiplash that RDR2 had. So, I would describe this as my tightest and most watchable video, while exceeding the speed of the last video in many cases, because the pacing is measured very, very well.
